I always said that if we were to draw one of the European heavyweights assuming we progressed past the group stage, we would be embarrassed. PSG are in another class this season.

I also believe that Terry coming back is going to be a burden. I would rather Ivanovic got shifted into the middle with Dave playing at right back. The team looks better offensively when Ivanovic isn't running up the wing and doing nothing with the ball. Hazard is also terrible at the moment. If we are to get anything out of the game I'd rather we see this team:

   Loftus-Cheek -- Fabregas

   Willian -- Oscar -- Pedro

Mikel has to stay out of the side if any of us want to see any kind of urgency. Hazard will be better coming off the bench than offering nothing for 90 minutes. Terry will be looking slow coming back from that niggly injury.

 

I have been more damning of the team than most on here. But even I don't come anywhere near you.

If he wants the Champions League so bad he should start pulling his finger out and put some strong performances in.

We all know what he is capable of.

 

We've been saying that for a long time now but he's still quite far behind from his full potential and even last year poty wasn't as spectacular as the previous winners.. It's underwhelming..

 

He can not just live by that perception that we've been giving him, he needs to start knock on the door real hard.. I do understand the set up may not be in his full advantage here but he's the type of player who can win on his own and he doesn't do enough of that, quite often he shy away from it..

I don't see Loftus-Cheek ready to play big teams. I saw some details on Saturday that made me think that he is afraid of tackling or of being hit by the ball.

Seriously now. With Terry out injured it might have been an advantage to have Matic sitting back alongside Mikel to protect the defence.

 

Now we're down to a makeshift defence and Mikel as the only defensive midfielder to call upon.

 

Should be interesting at least.

will guus send us out to go for a positive result (which isn't a draw)? i am hoping we try for an away goal or more. while psg are going to be missing a couple key players it's the time to take advantage of their situation. 

We might as well have a go as we lack the defensive capabilities to keep them out- might as well lose 3-2 rather than 1-0.

With our attacking options I can see us getting a couple of away goals.

If anyone feels we are underdogs here you are wrong. Our season in the league has been a disaster but we were very good in the group stage.

We have some experienced CL players in Tibo, Pedro, Cesc, Branna, Costa etc.

Difference between us and them currently is they are playing in a sad league and destroying the competition as we are struggling in arguably the toughest ever league in the world.

They can win the triple but for our lads this is the only thing keeping us in the world elite games is CL. That is very important to the lads as we all know.

John Terry has for decades been one of the toughest and most committed players. I get the feeling he'd do anything, including lying to the doctors about the pain he's feeling, to contribute to what will likely be his last Champions League run. If he's out, he must truly be in a lot of pain and/or the scans raised red flags for the doctors. (You can lie about the pain you're feeling, but you can't fake a scan.) At his age, injuries that take a day to heal in young players take longer.

JT must be really disappointed. The upside is that he will probably be supercharged for the second leg.

I hope the players and Hiddink feel the same. If you go into a game believing you have no chance, then you have no chance. Too bad they don't shelter the players from the media who keep telling them they have no chance. They should probably also ban players from reading this board haha

I'm happy to see that Baba will certainly start tomorrow  , It is HIS chance of the season (I can add of his career). I will have to be focus defensively, his pace and his quality of cross could be very important and interesting to our players.

 

I'm very excited for tomorrow, and let's hope Chelsea will win !

No, they think PSG will win and are favourite! (Sorry If I explained bad in my last post) They were suprised when Courtois said It was 50-50.

They evaluate this game to 60% PSG and 40% Chelsea.

But french people are arrogant as the world know 

French journalists are  little worried about Verratti's condition,They don't think Verratti will play the full game!

And there is the "Aurier gate", about his declarations on Periscope (I was watching it on live and I couldn't believe my eyes   )

Aurier won't play ever with PSG for sure, but I think It's a bad new for Chelsea. Marquinhos will have to show tomorrow that he has HIS place in the first squad...

I don't know why but I'm less worried today than few days ago.
