Diego didn't get up to much unfortunately

Well if you end up saying the same in the second leg we have no chance of going through.

We are blunt with him not on form and we cannot expect guus to give the chance to traore if Diego is shooting blanks.

Hopefully it will be a different story in the second leg

Not the worst result, considering maybe two soft goals conceded.

I thought the first half was strong, posed a threat on the break.

Willian is unbelievable everything is going through him at the moment, need the others to stand up!

Baba had a good game, his pace is a big assest.

Did I miss it, or did Hazard not acknowledge the Chelsea fans at all?

He applauded the fans as he came off.

Nothing better than a derby win!

I can't help but feel that Costa sitter (header) will be key, hopefully he finds his shooting boots for the return leg.

Just watched the highlights posted above.

2 bad misses by him IMO. The header was a real sitter, think he should have done much better with the through ball as well.

Great control and finish by Mikel as well.

Cavani looked offside on that replay on the highligh show, his head is beyond the last man by the looks of it.

Overall, like many of you, I'd have taken 2-1 at the begining of the evening, as it means we're still in it at home.  But if they score, it's going to be very tough.

I think some thought that PSG would tire, but they never did, and credit to them for playing an intense, pressing game throughout.

I was impressed by Baba, and I was impressed by Dave.  We need to quit faffing about with Dave and Ivan as our FB's and look at utilizing our players correctly.

Cesc doesn't handle the physical side too well, but those calling for his substitution miss what he does bring to the team:  a wonerful visionary that can pick a pass.

I am disappointed that, again, Guus hasn't utilized the full array of subs he had at his disposal.  I think toward the end we could have switched to a 4-3-3 and brought RLC into the mix, or dropped Oscar back and then used Kennedy to attack them.  I fear we could probably all pick the side that will face City on Sunday already.

Not over, still room to be quietly confident.

My only grumble is Guus not using the bench more, we looked stale for the last third of the game, he could of took Costa off for the last 20-30 minutes, he becomes rather detached later on in games, we could of put Traore on and given PSG something new and fresh to think about, it's not even a gamble sub, it's fresh legs and lungs.

Yep, wouldn't even have to change tactics or formation either.  Such a low risk, and given that Costa was already infuriating with his attempted dribbles, I'd have hauled him off in the final 15

Kenedy could have been useful as well.

Apparently that was the first Champions League match since 2000 that we haven't had one of Terry, Lampard, Cech and Drogba playing or on the bench. That's a bit of a downer.

If he's match fit (which he should of been seeing as he was on the bench) he coulf of replaced Hazard who literally gave us zero tonight. Oscar could of relieved Pedro.

Guus is a bit slow at reacting, I wish he would try putting a little bit more work at using his 3 subs better to influence himself on the game more.

That's the problem with Guss this term with us, he's so easily contend when the draw is on the card. Look back at the Watford game, we didn't make a change until 15 left and that was the only change. That's just one example, could say the same about all the drawn games we had. He was contend with the 1:1, and felt we could hold on, maybe he didn't really mind 1:2 either. Someone please remind him this Sunday to push for the win if the score is tied after 70 minutes, last thing we want is a replay in their own backyard.

Understandable though given that we basically had Oscar on the bench when they could bring on Cavani, Pastore and Rabiot.

Guus is probably even more pragmatic than Mourinho.

A night of what might have been...granted PSG created more chances, but we had quite a few golden chances ourselves...unfortunately Costa wasted two clear cut ones..,would have taken 2-1 deficit going into second leg beforehand, but still feels like we let them off the hook a bit...
