This is a very peculiar time to be rebuilding with everyone else doing so well.

Just like Spurs and Pool used to be, but we can become strong if we focus on nurting and finding talent that can break out within 1 (if we are lucky) or 2 seasons. We have so many talented young uns on loan but because there are so many of them, we lose focus and fail to give them the attention and confidence that they can shine in the first team.

 I don't think that's even a factor for managers when deciding whether to come or not.. lets just face it, sacked means full compensation for whatever contract they sign in the 1st place.. Only money and CL talk but mostly it's all about the money..

There is a Serious problem at Chelsea  with the appoiintment of MANAGERS   i dont know who sits down and does the interviews but there need someone to write a script for them so they can ask the corect quetions ,

Question 1  what is your planned formaton for chelsea ?

question 2  Can you play your prefered formation with the players we have ?

question 3  if Q2 is no  how many players are required ?

question 4 Have you a list of young hungry players to recruit who will need recruited  or are you wanting chelsea to purchus over priced  over played haS Beens

because as a manager if i ask for a rolls royce and they say no i then will except a Passat , but if they give me a mini  I say  the job cant be done sorry

Managers need to prove they can manage from time to time and not be gifted players at their prime in every position.  It's unrealistic

I still maintain that the squad is burnt out and needs to be refreshed massively. We haven't bought any first team players for a while and it is showing.

We've signed 2 first choice players this summer, with 2 other posdible first team players too.

Burnt out from what? They got a rest the second part of last season and this year they play one game a week.

8 games in, 2 defeats and some lunatics are slagging him off already, some even want rid of him. Yet these same people are also probably saying we need stability etc. Honestly, it's absolutely idiotic. He obviously knows the weaknesses in the the team
 as seen by him urging the club to resign Terry and how desperate we were for centre backs in the window.  give him 12 months at least for God's sake, we need at least 3 windows to sort out this squad.

this would be a factor, no manager want to have a sting mark in their cv

Next match against Hull might be one of the more important games in his career so far. If we don't win that one i can definitly imagine the rot setting in again and we enter a long downwards spiral. If we win that one together and beat Leicester at home after the break we will have catched up on some of our rivals as they play eachother next.

The way I see it. We need 7 points from the next 3 games. 3 from Hull, 3 From Leicester and atleast 1 from United.

If that does not happen we will be certain to miss top4 9 games into the season. And sadly Conte might not last much longer after that. Knowing Abrahmovic, he probably has hiddink on the speed dial.

He would be an idiot to get rid of conte it's the players not the managers surely he sees that by now, I thought a few additions and a new manager would fix things but this group are stale they mentally are down and rub off on each other we need to survive somehow to Jan get in a couple of players to dig out a top 4 then a squad clear out in the summer. As good as hazard is he isn't right for Chelsea I would be happy for him to go along with matic, fab and William, clear out the whole spine of the team, with zouma back we have cb's but JT may not have it for next year so bring in another top CB a proper LB a world class CM and Winger with the money from hazard William matic and fab and a couple of good young players as squad players. It's the only way I see this team is self decaying.

Hazard's value would have dropped quite a lot since last summer. If we get £60m for Hazard next summer, it would barely be enough to buy a CB. Money can not solve out problems.

We need to just say feck it and place faith in the likes of Chalobah, Colkett, Aina, Ake, Christensen, DaSilva. The answer to our problems lies in youth and not in over-priced mediocre players from outside.

Anyway, its all beyond the point though. What Roman will do is sack Conte and give Ivanovic and Mikel a new contract. Good days all around.

A few seasons in mid table will likelylead to many more years in mid table.

 

Look at Liverpool. They spent the last 7 years in midtable struggling to get back to the top. If we fail to get top 4 this year, it's going to be a long while before we compete again. 

people are making this out to be an absolute travesty that we can't recover from. we have lost 2 games against two fierce rivals who are both playing well. we have a new manager who is trying to change our style and implement his ideas, while in the process of still getting used to the league. i know there are no excuses for poor performances like the last two, but we've dominated pretty much every game we've played in the league so far, had decisions go against us which cost us 3 points and have looked decent. we are far from the end product, but lets not forget utd lost to city, and lost, while looking poor vs watford. we sure as hell aren't doing as badly as people think, and we also have two key defenders out in zouma and terry. we should be looking on the positive side instead being overly critical of a manager who is trying his best to get us competing at the top level again.

Napoli did not want to sell Higuain hence the huge price. Bigger clubs always have to sell for less while disposing off unwanted players.

The way he is playing Madrid wont come in for him. We will have to sell him for whatever PSG are willing to pay.

Mate, he played well end of last season, played well in teh Euros and minus teh last 2 games he started teh season brilliantly, he would walk in to any team in europe.

You are right. We need to get rid of this carcass of the 2012 team that is weighing us down. Cahill, Ivanovic, Mikel must go.

I love how mikel hasn't even played this season but he is still one of the ones blamed for bringing the team down. Alright then.

Hazard is the sole world class player we have along with Costa. He has his off days but everyone in this team seems to have them. The entire onus of attack rests on him and it is inevitable he won't deliver always.

There is no scenario in which we should sell Hazard as replacing elite talent is incredibly difficult in today's market.
