Why would you want Mikel to miss the PSG game ? He was the one that got the away goal and is the only one playing well in that position right now.

So will Traore start because he scored today? We conceded a goal because of Mikel. Mikel is the best of a bad bunch in that position. I have hardly seen him play well and he will be following the ball around like a headless chicken against PSG

Rather keep Mikel on if it means he won't play against PSG

Tony Gale's commentary is horrendous. Not that there's many commentators I enjoy these days.

Cracking finish from Traore anyway. We're lucky to be ahead really though. Mikel appears to be our only player in the middle of the park.

Doubts are growing over Rahmann. Besides a bit of pace I'm struggling to see what he offers. He'd make a decent winger I'm sure, but very little defensive discipline.

You would be surprised what we fans suggest at times...

Hazard won't score a goal playing like this anytime soon. He's too happy to pass, not running channels into the dangerous zone, and not pulling out shots when getting into the zone. He's way too happy to play the supporting role.

So because Mikel gave the foul away that led to PSG's first goal he should be dropped ? Players make mistakes, if we are going to drop players after every mistake, then every player would have been dropped by now. 

 

Mikel is far from perfect, but he's playing a lot better than Matic right now and Hiddink is right to put his faith in him.

Indeed, we need to be a bit more concentrated when we hold up the ball. They move quick when they go. Imbula is a real player ... giving Mikel and Matic a lot of work. Oscar having a disappointing game so far, but defensively we have looked good apart from Ivan's "near-death" experience with Diouf.

Matic is seriously terrible atm . It is no question mikel is the better player right now. No question

tbf Matic is struggling to achieve that, and there's no one else in the squad so that leaves us with Mikel next to Fabregas.

Wish we had some aggression in that central midfield. We could use an enforcer.

Don't get me wrong Mikel is playing better than Matic who has been dreadful this year but I also don't think Mikel has been that good either. I just hope Mikel isn't the best option we have next season, Imbula would of been perfect for Chelsea.
