Griezmann isn't a CF. Not sure why a fair bit of folks on this forum seem to think that. He's a SS. He plays behind an actual CF. He's not supposed to be in the box like a target man or anything like that. If we splashed 90m on Griezmann, we'd STILL have to buy a new CF.

For Morata, it's different. He's an actual CF and a really good one at that but Fiorentino Perez is in love with Benzema so Morata will never get a proper run in the Madrid team. He will absolutely flourish as the main man on a top team.

Would never happen because we would still need to strengthen the midfield which would be £30 odd million and the same at the back.

I can't see anyone paying that sort for Michy now given he's sat on a bench for a season playing next to no football, he would be a loan next season.

Matic is the one we should be flogging after Costa for as much as we can. Hopefully his stock is still high in Italy after Juve's interest and now Milan and Inter have came into some serious cash.

We can still sell others and buy others, for midfield and defence. This was just for attack.

Maybe 3 at most I'd be looking at unless we have massive plans to spend.

A striker to replace Costa, a midfielder to replace Matic and another left or right back/wing back to provide another option. Christensen is coming back so he will replace Terry I'd imagine. If got Sanchez on top of that then that would be a good window within realism IMO.

Got to think big.

We've let go of Oscar and Mikel for what, 60-70 mil this january?  I'm sure that money can be used to buy a midfielder and wb as cover.  

Then get Morata and Sanchez if possible.  If Costa and Batshuayi leave that would recoup ~100m.  Would still preferably sign another CF as backup to Morata but if we can't we've got plenty of options with Sanchez and Hazard in a pinch.  Pedro and Willian being key reserves who can come on if we need to mix and match up top because our CF is out wiht injury or anything like that.

A very good window for me would be Morata/Belotti + Sanchez + Bayakoko/Nainggolan/Verratti + Ghoulam/Mendy/Rodriguez. 4 solid players to make a real statement for the CL next year.

Never going to happen. Mbappe is a Madrid fan and Madrid want him too. If not this summer, they'll get him next summer and for some crazy fee.

Must be brutal when you can't get into the side when Benzema is having a mare and Vasquez is second choice. 

He will be screaming for a move come the summer

As far as I know Mbappe is more of a Chelsea fan and more of a Ronaldo fan than a Real Madrid fan.

If Chelsea make a suitable offer to Monaco we will certainly have a good chance of signing him.

That he had a Chelsea trial some time ago doesn't necessarily make him a Chelsea fan. He watches Chelsea a lot but also watches Juventus and Madrid a lot according to his father. So there's really no proof he's a Chelsea fan mate. Meanwhile, Ronaldo has converted a lot of kids into Madrid fans.

His 'more than a team' tweet is what makes me think he at least has a soft spot for Chelsea, no doubt he is a big Ronaldo fan, but i wouldn't write our chances off of signing him because of that.

I wouldn't want us to spend 120 odd million euros on an 18 year old kid. Which is what they're asking for, per Di Marzio.

We're already about to do enough head scratching business spending 70m+ on Lukaku.

I doubt they will hold out for that much, if so I would offer them Batshuayi plus £50m-£60m, which is basically the Oscar money.

And what reason would they have to accept such an offer? Batshuayi is hardly some world beater and Monaco aren't that desperate to sell Mbappe. They know they can spark a bidding war and get a hefty fee. Years ago, we picked Solanke and Abraham ahead of Mbappe. It's time we stuck with that decision and gave Abraham a chance instead of shelling out world record fees for his age mate. Mbappe would probably also be in the Championship with some team on loan right now if we'd picked him instead. I think Chelsea fans need to forget about Mbappe. We're not getting him.

On Morata, it sure looks more likely than ever. Hopefully, Madrid can let us have him for 50m. They'll probably want to make us happy ahead of a possible future business dealing (i.e Hazard) so it could happen.

That's a good offer, Batshuayi has done very well in France, Monaco know they can't keep Mbappe for long and we would be offering them a huge sum of money and a replacement, they are most likely going to earn plenty more over the next few seasons with clubs queuing up to buy their players.

It's a good offer in your eyes because you're obviously a Chelsea fan. If I'm Monaco, that's an offer I'd throw out the window within 30 seconds. Batshuayi is hardly a Morata who's sitting on our bench but deserves to start for us. Very raw player who hasn't got his sh*t together yet. He's not worth the 30m we paid for him but that's another story. There are other replacements Monaco can get that would fit better and do better for them.
