Not sure you can call 2015 Juventus favourites vs Madrid or Barca and he scored against both

Thats right.

But Juventus are a great team too. Players like Tevez, Pogba, Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal. Most of them are world class players/just a level below. And while the Juventus team wont be favourites against RM/BArca, the probability that Morata will get a defence splitting pass from Pogba/Vidal/Pirlo is a 100 times higher than Lukaku getting one against say chelsea/spurs from gueye/barry/mirallas.

Everton has Mirallas, Barkley, Gueye/Barry, we are not talking about the same level/class here. And yet Lukaku is the highest scorer and easily one of the best best PL strikers around.

The chances of Lukaku getting a defence splitting pass against a good team is higher, as teams don't park the bus against  Everton, and leave a lot of space, you only have to look at Lukaku's goal against Man City at the Etihad, and last season in the FA Cup semi final at Wembley against Man United Lukaku had 2 one on ones with De Gea and missed both as well as a penalty which he missed but that's another story.

Were Juventus favourites against Real Madrid and Barcelona?

The Old Lady? The best team in italy? Probably one of the top 4 sides in Europe. They would be a lot more competitive in those games than when Everton play any team in the top 6 in England. We are talking about a team we have thrashed home and away this season.

Anyway, I want both.

Lets not be revisionist here, they crashed out in the group stages of the CL the previous season and didn't even look great in the EL. They weren't as established as they are now.

How exactly is lukaku getting a defence spliting pass more probable?

Juventus will get as much free space (if not more, way more because RM, Barca dont care much about opponents and play the way they wanna play. On the other hand, chelsea/united WILL revise their play style to give everton the respect) than everton. Who do you want exploiting those spaces? Pirlo,Vidal, Pogba or Mirallas, gueye, barry and barkley.

We signed Justin Bieber ? That has gotta be about the shirt sales because i just don't see where he fits in the team

Seriously though, i don't think that means much. Apparently he has been following a lot of them for a while and he follows loads of United and Arsenal players too. I remember when Messi started following Chelsea and a bunch of players and the media jumped on top of it and started saying he was set to sign for us

Apparently followed a lot of our players today

So I checked Morata's Instagram last night. He's following just shy of 900 accounts on there and the majority of them are footballers. He's following Barca players as well, I'm not sure how recently he started following the Chelsea players but I wouldn't read anything into it.

Morata being absolutely hounded by Madrid for his performance against Sevilla with them claiming he's good coming off the bench but not fit to lead the line or start against big teams. 'Big game player' lol.

Good coming off the bench? If we keep Diego even more reason to sign him next season. :good2:

Champions League semi final v Bayern... 67th minute... Diego's legs have gone - who do you bring on? Morata or Batshuayi? :laugh2:

I think you mean CL final on the way to our second CL trophy

If only that was the case though! Sadly i can't see Diego staying past this summer

This back and forth is funny. Lukaku apologists streaming into the Morata thread in glee when he underperforms. Morata apologists streaming into the Lukaku thread in glee when Lukaku underperforms. Do you lot not get tired of it?

Not even slightly. This is the highlight of my slow, tiresome life.

People say we're lucky with injuries. We aren't, we clearly have some of the best medical staff in football. Look at Costa before he came here, he was always riddled with injuries, David Luiz has been playing with a gammy knee sunce c*** Aguero did him in earlier in the season, but he's been able to play on with the careful work of our medical team. We have an amazing staff at our club, that's why our players don't get injured as much as other clubs, it's nothing to do with blind luck. Old 'Arry is talking out of his hoop again. Probably thinks we should sign Niko Kranjcar.

Also i'd be ignoring that article, since it says Morata knows Conte from their time together at Juve. If they had a clue they'd know Morata and Conte never worked together at Juve

Exactly. They don't need Batshuayi. They'll grab as much cash they can from the highest bidder and line up the next relatively unknown talent to groom him into stardom for sale again within 2-3 years. They're already preparing to sign Anderlecht's Yuri Tielemans as replacement for Bakayoko.

Matt Law is reporting that Monaco are interested in Batshuayi, like I told you they would be.

Those ever reliable Madrid fans that boo the greatest goal scorer in their clubs history & one of the best players of all time lol. Madrid fans are a joke, most fickle fans in the world, they rate Benezema for godsake, the guys a donkey for a club like Madrid.

He could have had 2 or 3 last night if he wasn't slower than a week in jail.

I'd prefer Morata over Lukaku for a few reasons, first off price, second I think he suits our style of play better, three he's used to playing against teams that sit deep, four I think he's a better technical player than Lukaku.

But if I'm being totally honest, if we have 80m+ to spend on a striker (Lukaku rumour) I'd rather we signed neither and went hard after Aubameyang/Griezmann/Kane. All of which are a level above both Morata and Lukaku.

Which still means nothing. Because they're not doing any player + cash deal still.

Griezmann is not a CF and it would be silly to play him as our main CF for an entire season. Kane is almost as impossible as Messi so just forget about that one. But yes, I agree about Aubameyang.

Reckon we'll play two up top next season so Griezmann playing just behind Bats would definitely work.
