Everybody takes the piss with valuations. Why are Everton especially to blame? I don't get it.

Do they? Lets see how much we sell Costa for. Bought the best CM in the league 30 million, I understand there was possibly a release fee, but look how smooth it was, peopel put silly valuations and sell for less, Everton put comedy valuations and stick to them, release stories to start bidding wars, they are f**king horrible, for Lukaku is not a good footballer, he is a good goal scorer which yes is the main objective in his position but way more to a strikers game than that, he isn't worth 90 million in any world, that's almost hazard money. Stones 50 million, well we saw where that went...they, in particular take the piss.

Stones 50m

Lukaku 90m

Lacezette went for 45m, Mahrez could go for 40m, Salah went for 35m, Lindelof went for 30m. Diego Costa probably will go for 30m.

All attackers are highly sought after and Lindelof has great potential. I'd argue he's already better than Stones. Everton are a bunch of w*nkers, overrating their players. Who do they think they are?

Way are everyone pissed at Everton for wanting to keep their best players? I honestly dont get it? Are we really upset they wont give away their prized possesions for a bargain? Such a baffling attitude

Look at the relationship between Spurs and Chelsea...neither would give each other the steam off their piss...middle league teams like Eversh*te can't afford to burn bridges when it comes to attract loan players etc.

Exactly. They forget we loaned them Lukaku and then sold to him when we could have sold abroad and it's funny because then when they were wanting him they were so humble. Oh well that's what happens sometimes when power is in the hands of those not too used to it.

The update is that we are negotiating over the add ons, the fact that United announced the deal prematurely has reduced their leverage, don't see how Everton can be blamed for them jumping the gun. For context we have had years of being pillaged and the fact that for the last 2 or 3 seasons we haven't had to roll over completely is entirely our prerogative. I mean no ill will here at all, I'm simply giving you the little inside stuff I'm getting as I know you have a interest in the player.

If a club wants to sell their best asset for as much as they can I can't see the problem. If another club is willing to pay way over the odds for that player then that is their prerogative. Lukaku is worth no where near what Everton are asking but if Man Utd are willing to pay the £90m + being quoted then more fool them. Man Utd are actually inflating the market but I also blame the agent, in this case Mino Raiola (also Pogba's agent) who is making an absolute fortune from these deals.
Having said all that I do believe in the majority of cases we sell our players far too cheaply.

No of course not but they over value and f**k about yet they want to sell him who said they want to keep hold of him? They have already spent his transfer money he will leave no matter what, clubs try and give a fair deal while keeping the price high as they can in order to at least maintain relashionshios for future business, Everton take the piss and don't seem to mind burning bridges, look how they treated us with stones now with a player that we loaned them then sold them, assuming of course we have been in for him this whole time like we have been led to believe, also if this Utd thing is true it was a done deal at 75 which is way more than he is worth with a near enough 50 million profit for them but that's not enough had to put a 15 mil add on, there is getting the best deal then there's is being the type of club no one will want to deal with in the future. They are cheeky they didn't develop him they bought him after we were good enough to loan him to them and he scored I think 17 on loan, we sold him for 28 i for I recall. So to not be happy at making 48 mil off a player you haven't developed through your system, you have bought and after 2 years can make an almost unheard of 50 million profit, to then take the piss with add ons after to the amount of more than half what you paid for him 2 years ago they are not doing shrewd business they are ripping clubs off because they know the top teams need a striker, now supply and demand we understand, you have a stand at an event ok charge 3 quid for a 30 pence lemonade no one will blame you but when you get c**ts changing 8 quid you say hold are you taking the piss out of us...it's insulting at a point, then you agree because your thirsty and they say that's an extra 2 quid for the cup. There is acceptable over charging based on supply and demand and there is piss ripping.

The way to deal with them is for both clubs to back out and leave them holding the bag when he goes on a free once his contract is up. They're entitled to sell their players for whatever they think they can get so I wouldn't call them greedy or c***s but it's a dangerous game to keep upping the price or holding out for more when you aren't the only game in town. I hope the above scenario plays out and Lukaku spends the rest of his time there at odds with the club.

It may just teach them a lesson they didn't have the chance to learn with Stones

Mugs like City, United and ourselves will pay it so why wouldn't they?

Honestly see nothing wrong with what they are doing, it's just childish behaviour from a few who simply can't take not getting what they want.

Because it sets a dangerous precedent when Utd buy it at exorbitant fees. If they succeed at this then every club will have no problems putting ridiculous fees for players when EPL clubs come calling. If people think A. Sandro was expensive at 60m, when this move goes through every above average player will have improved contracts by the next year with buyback clauses at 50m minimum

Lukaku might be a lot many things, but SURELY, overrated is not one of them.

I mean look at how LOWLY rated he is even among the fanbase of the club that was favourite to get him just 2-3 days ago.

If anything he is criminally UNDERRATED

You will just need to lump it I'm afraid.

The EPL clubs make an absurd amount of money from TV and sponsorships so this is the result.

for 75million he is bro

i might be a bit too optimistic (and a bit hopeful) here, but this Lukaku to United just doesn't make sense to me. we know Lukaku is a Chelsea fan, why would he throw this opportunity to play for the club he adores? second, Jose is the reason why he left Chelsea (the club that he loves) in the first place because he wouldn't trust him, but now he wants to work with him? doesn't make sense

i might be biased in here, but it's really possible that this is just a ploy from Everton to crank up our offer. the last two weeks or so we've gone quiet on this front probably because we were trying to bring down the price, but i guess Everton is having none of it

the second (and worse) possible case is that this is his agent once again trying to have a big payday, and that we overestimate how much he is a fan of Chelsea. if this is the case, it really is the epitome of modern day football, where money is more important than anything else, even your own conscience

Imagine how cringeworthy that United dressing room will be with Pogba, Lingard and Lukaku all in it :face_palm:

It's already started, this is from Pogba's instagram

I think they are trying to look cool, but they just look ridiculous

Transfer fee is depended on a lot of factors: 1. Homegrown Status, 2. Injury record, 3. League Proven, 4. Competition in Market, 5. Parent and Buyer Club, 6. Age etc etc

Like it or not, Lukaku is a great goal scorer. Also someone who has improved other parts of his game massively too.

Dont forget, it was the same Jose who sold him as he would not play him over torres, ba and etoo, is now buying him for 75mil. And I can see why.

I feel you. He has a lot of upside and is better than Drogba at the same age.  He is premier league proven (against weaker teams) . But hey i am just happy he is going to man u and not us, because i have been observing him since he left chelsea and his back to play goal is horrible for someone his size and his touch is quite heavy ( Something i am sure Jose can work on). I just hope Conte can swallow his ego and Make up with Diego or else it could be a long season

Why?

So that player power prevails again. I hope Conte shows who is the boss and is backed by the board to the hilt. Does not matter if Conte actually told Costa via a text, going to the media for that has got to be the lowest of the low things to do. I mean we have to draw the line somewhere.

Replacing Costa in the current market is going to be an expensive job, something our board clearly is not willing to do. But I still expect Conte to get the best out of the remaining players and find a good solution to not having a great no.1 upfront.

Agree. I'm tired of footballers thinking they alone call the shots, the balance needs to be readdressed.

If he's anything like Pogba then we're better off without. Let him have his own emojis, celebrations and stupid dances with his teammates. That photo makes them look like a sh*t boyband.

We need to move on from all this crap.
