Squad are flying out to Austria later today and we play our first pre-season game 5pm BST tomorrow against Rapid Vienna. 

Not expecting much over the next week but it will interesting at least to see how Conte is lining up.

After 6 months of boredom and awful performances, I'm expecting the players to make up for last season and give it 100%.

Don't usually get excited over pre-season, however I am buzzing to see Conte start shaping the team.

Hazard's charity game has been cancelled after the events in Turkey, but I assume he'll go on extended leave following the Euros.

Thought it was Eto'o's charity game?

I understand we won't see Van Ginkel though, as he's not in the squad travelling. Chances are he will be sold to PSV. Shame, and it's all due to that nasty injury.

Definitely, it was looking like he was going to be one of the younger guys to make it with us, was starting to get decent game time and then as you say he got that injury, I don't think he's ever quite looked the same since.

Did that not happen to another one of our young lads a while back? Sam Hutchinson? Was starting to get a look in under Carlo (I always remember he got an amazing assist from a cross to Drogba (I think) when we won the league 7-0 against Wigan?) I'm sure I read at the time the club gave him a coaching role when he couldn't continue playing, that was a nice touch.

Anyway I digress, basically these sort of injuries are bar stewards!!

Probably today. I think kante is meeting up today isn't he? So must be the same for the others too.

I believe the players who were involved right up to the end of the Euro's etc join up with the squad for the US part of the tour.

Read players involved involved in these types of competitions are given 3 weeks rest. Was surprised also to see Michy resume camp, maybe he felt he didn't need the holiday as he didn't participate much for Belgium. If so, I'm liking that type of commitment.
