June 28, 201610 yr He wasn't even bad.Now I know for certain your a wum. He was absolutely atrocious and an embarrassment. I suppose you will claim wilshire played well too.
June 28, 201610 yr The BBC player ratings are a joke. Gave Hart a 3 and everyone else a 4. Hart a 2 and everyone else a 3 is more accurate. And that's me being generous I think

June 28, 201610 yr After a performance like that... all you can really do is laugh. It's true, tbh what's amazed me is how bothered I was. In that I didn't feel bothered afterwards, just felt like typical England. Can't remember the last time we looked decent in a tournament, probably Euro 2004.

June 28, 201610 yr Yes, I think its fair to assume he was staring at the bottom of a few bottles last night.

And that's me being generous I think Don't think Hart was the worst player on the pitch. He should have saved the second goal but had 3 very decent saves to stop it getting even more embarrassing for England. The midfield couldn't even control a football, they were woeful. ALl to a man worse than Joe

ALl to a man worse than Joe Wilshere can't even control his legs Drinkwater must be sat at home thinking how did I not get selected and Lalana must have been on the bench wondering why he wasn't starting aswell.
June 28, 201610 yr Drinkwater was probably sitting at home being a DrinkBeer, thinking, "thank god I didn't joint this shower of sh*t." This just shows how utterly overrated English players are, its the foreign players who prop up the league and make it respectable.
June 28, 201610 yr This just shows how utterly overrated English players are, its the foreign players who prop up the league and make it respectable. I have to disagree. The England players are surely more skilled than any of the opponents they've had. Their poor performances are not caused by them being sh*ttier players in terms of talent and skill. The problems are deeper and more complicated.

He wasn't any worse than any of his teammates and was better than some of them.

When you have clubs paying the likes of £50M for Sterling, and they cant even control a ball, you know there's something seriously wrong.
June 28, 201610 yr Have to say I don't think Vardy is an England player. Sounds harsh but he's a one trick pony and is suited to the Leicester system with the players they have. England try and use him when desperate and he looks like a fish out of water with no space to exploit behind the back 4. I think he's got his uses, just not to be brought on at 60 mins against a team that were already retreating into a deep block. Decisive would have been to bring him on for Kane at 25 mins. Said it before the tournament, Roy's big mistake was shoe-horning Rooney into the team where he didn't fit and the side clearly looked better without him. Rooney is NOT world class any more and looks distinctly average and way off the pace and he is no leader. Where was he last night when we were 2-1 down and looking for inspiration? Huffing and puffing and constantly miss-placing passes. Until Rashford came on ridiculously late, no-one wanted the ball. It was all - "here you have it - no you have it............." Players were hiding which at this level is inexcusable and it took an 18 year old to have a go but way, way too late. Sure the whole team looked void of ideas last night and that has to come down to Roy and his coaching team and at least they've done the decent thing and rightly gone. Granted Rooney had a shocker last night, but I think he's been fairly decent in midfield for us. He's got his shortcomings - primarily decision making and always needing to look up at the opposition defence when he gets the ball rather than having a picture in his head. But generally he moves the ball around well, is composed on it and is better than any alternatives we have. He's no Pirlo, Alonso, Veratti or anyone else but he's ok. Seen Hart's interview and feel bad for him. Respect for owning his mistakes, but what the f**k is it with English keepers making such huge mistakes in tournaments?!
June 28, 201610 yr I don't mind losing, even to a minnow, but what I cannot accept is the FA and it's incompetence with the national team, both in terms of managerial selection and it's finances. They breed incompetence by rewarding failure.
June 28, 201610 yr I bet Eidur is giving Lamps and JT pelters, that they'll have absolutely no comeback with, #embarassedbutnotforEidur Eidur actually played in this tournament too, having him in the dressinroom is probably a major boost makes me wonder would you swap say Milner or another who didn't play for lamps and another for maybe gerrard even though they won't play
June 28, 201610 yr England ended the game with 5 forwards on the pitch, can't get over that barminess. Never understand why football managers do that when they are chasing a game. Having that many forwards doesnt increase your chances of scoring.
June 28, 201610 yr https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cl_L8MEWEAAphYA.jpg I heard its his assistant thats a part time dentist. He himself has a long managerial career with Sweden and Nigeria. Edited June 28, 201610 yr by Stim
June 28, 201610 yr When you have clubs paying the likes of £50M for Sterling, and they cant even control a ball, you know there's something seriously wrong. There's truth to this Zola, there is. However, imho it is more than that. I saw no sense of urgency, no pushing from the manager, no "Plan B" if you will (arguable if there was a "Plan A"). England has more talent than Iceland. They had no heart, no plan, and no cohesiveness. Iceland did, and were deserved winners.
