Swansea doing a WBA....just when you want a lower league team to step up to the plate they are absolute crap.   Of course Leicester will put in a Champions League performance.

This Tottenham side is better than any other I have seen.

However, something tells me they will ultimately fall short in the end. Maybe because Pochettino pushes his sides so hard that they tend to burn out towards the end of the season. It happened with Pochettino's Southampton in 2013-14 and it happened with Tottenham last season, just as they looked like they could win the PL.

Also man-for-man, I'm not convinced they're better than the rest of the chasing pack. Tottenham could come 2nd, but equally I wouldn't be surprised if they finished 6th.

They won't finish below 6th, but equally if they win the whole thing we would have no-one to blame but ourselves. It would scarcely be less shocking than Leicester winning the whole thing was last season.

If that was their CL performance they are crashing out next round!

Makes me laugh how folk moan about other sides "rolling over" like West Brom and Swansea today. Never that our rivals have just been good and totally outplayed them on the day. Some days the smaller sides produce a good performance & result, like Bournemouth against Dippers & Gooners and Leicester against Man City. It's all swings and roundabouts and NOT a case of the minnows trying hard against us but not our rivals!

Seems like a player with a lot of ambition, who is just discovering what a lack of ambition his club, manager and teammates have.

I can't help but feel that Sanchez is starting to do this on purpose now. It's not the first time he has had a mood swing like this this season. I'm really starting to wonder if he wants out.

Do you think he's after some Chinese money Scott? I can't see Arsenal selling him to anyone in Europe in this window, Bayern are their next CL rivals, Barca and Real don't want him, Juve can't afford him and the three Premier League clubs who can afford, Arsenal won't sell to.

Arsenal sold Cole to us so anything can happen. Then again they got Gallas in return.

I doubt he will leave in any case

I'm almost certain he knew exactly what he as doing today, he had a reason.

Maybe. I hope not though. I don't want to see Sanchez at Arsenal anymore but i certainly don't want to see him move to China either.

I'd be shocked if Chelsea didn't go in for him in the summer. Doesn't matter if we succeed with our bid or not. Just rattle the cage at the Emirates.

Of course if we did in fact get him, it would be AMAZING. A front three of Hazard-Costa-Sanchez is CL trophy quality. We'd be challenging for the CL right away. I wouldn't mind if we spent 65m getting him. But based on Conte's comments, it doesn't seem to me like he fancies spending heavily any one player so I don't know how possible that would be. Either way, we need an upgrade on Willian/Pedro on the right side that can match (or surpass) Hazard's quality on the left, along with one or two other signings if we want to win the CL next season.....which of course we should be aiming for. Would be a perfect end to the Bridge as it is today.
