Yeah like someone said, for £100m you want a player like Bale or Ronaldo. Still, he's the type of player that United need in their midfield and have been lacking for a few years. A £100m though...

Jose will just probbarly turn him into a defensive midfielder anyway.

I think he would do that too, an ultra Makelele perhaps

100M transfer fee and 300k a week, Pogba would be pretty damn loyal to Juventus if he doesn't want to leave. If this come through, there's no doubt United will be favourite for the title. However, I do expect the likes of Rooney kick up a sh1t storm for not getting paid enough compare to the new boy.

For that amount of money, I don't think Juventus will be too worried about his loyalty. They can buy a good number of replacements to cover his departure - one can hope that they will finally buy Cuardrado and Oscar

Di Marzio now reporting City and Man Utd have made bids for Bonucci and Pogba respectively, but Juve have rejected them. Pogba also apparently said to Evra "We are through to the final so we will get an extra week off before heading back to Torino"

Not for me, City, though ageing, are miles clear in squad strength, and they've probably a better manager too.

The good thing for us is that both Mourinho and Guardiola both can't win the league, resulting in one of them being labelled a failure. With such attention on them, we can build ourselves back up under less scrutiny than we've had before and let them take the brunt of the publicity war.

It's gonna be interesting for sure, but City could win the CL with United winning the PL then neither would be deemed a failure. I actually think there are a few scenarios where neither could be deemed a failure aswell not just those.

Does anyone really know pogbas best position? maybe mourinho does, but I still think he’s very overrated. Verratti is the one we should be going for especially as we now have conte. Hes a tenacious little so and so who also knows how to pass the ball, the Italian dennis wise

Just heard about Bielsa as well, although judging by Lazio's initial statement it did seem like there was a general sense of doubt or uncertainty. It certainly didn't sound like an ordinary manager unveiling:

"As revealed by news in the media today, SS Lazio announces that it has already deposited the contract of Marcelo Bielsa and his staff.

"The club also announces that, as per the communication received, the coach and his staff will be in Rome on Saturday July 9."

Compare that to:

"Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Antonio Conte as First Team Head Coach.

Conte [...] has signed a three-year contract. He will begin work following his country's participation in this summer's Euro 2016 tournament."

(enthusiastic quotes from Conte follow)

Bielsa who was appointed as Lazio manager on the 6th July, has just quit the role today - 2 days later - on the 8th...

England job maybe? :laugh2:

Bizarre. I read a headline about unusually lengthy negotiations.

Seems the parties were at odds.

Yeah, imagine if Romeu or someone became the new Seedorf and we decided we were going to sign him back for stupid money. The forum would bust its collective nut.

Bad enough that we sold PVA or Bertrand.  Imagine your scenario!!!

Rumour has it that Liverpool and Middlesbrough have both both agreed a £4m fee with Dormund for Neven Subotic. That's an absolute steal if that's the case.

Depends on the wages though. I think people focus too much on transfer fees and too little in wages. Robin van Persie is available for £4 million too, but it wouldn't really be a wise move because his wages are extremely high.

Sky Sports are saying it would cost Boro £8m.

Still a massive signing if it's true.

"FC Barcelona has set up a campaign in support of Leo Messi following the sentence issued this week against the Argentinian and his father.

Using the hashtag #WeAreAllLeoMessi while posting a photo or message with both hands open, the campaign is encouraging all Barça fans to express their sympathy for the greatest footballer in the world by voicing their unconditional support on social networks.

By making it clear that #WeAreAllMessi, we want Leo to know that he is not alone. All members, supporters clubs, fans, athletes, media and everyone else are invited to participate."

Unfrickinbelievable.....they don't live in the real world.
