you can see this side is developing, that is what is so good. conte is improving what we have, and a couple of transfer windows down the line this could be a side capable of giving the absolute top sides in europe a real game. I think similar applies to city too actually. the level at the top of the league is on the rise.

Absolutely agree, in fact that was one of the main hopes I had for this season once I saw that Guardiola, Mourinho and Conte had been appointed - that the standard of football would improve among the top sides in the league. In addition, with Pochettino, Wenger Klopp and Koeman in charge of the sides milling around fourth place (and even people like Mazzarri in charge of the likes of Watford), coupled with the amount of money English sides have to play with, I think we may well see a resurgence of Premier League teams in European competition.

I will also add that I don't think this team is yet the finished article. While we're on a ridiculous run of form (even if there were long spells in which we looked very dodgy in the past couple of games), there are positions in which we can still clearly improve. Alonso is the first name which comes to mind!

How hilarious was that game though? Even at 2-1 up I thought 'how on earth are we not 2-0 down?' Disgraceful scenes from the City players at the end though, I was really quite disappointed by that. As hypocritical as this will probably sound after the preceding sentence, I did feel a little proud seeing Chalobah steaming in to defend his team mates (with Neville's approval), as well as Courtois playing peacemaker.

After the hundreds of millions we have spunked on absolute nonsense over the past decade or so, who would have thought that beating your title rivals would be as cheap as slipping the ref a fifty before the game? Hahaha!

It's unbelievably bitter over there, calling Taylor a cheat and saying that the FA are against them... [emoji23]

However, as always in these things, not all. Credit where it's due...

you know that's literally what we did when Jose won the title two season ago, look what happened next

Conte isn't Jose completely different people Jose is a manager Conte is Coach he has played the game and knows how to treat players who aren't even playing players refusing to want to leave and willing to fight i remember Vidal saying if he's going to war he wants Conte with him or something along those lines Conte will not make Jose's mistakes tie him down how much worst can it get after last season even if we had a bad season with Conte

What a game holy hell. Costa reminded me so much of Drogba on that first goal.

Aguero is quietly the dirtiest player in the prem. Hope he gets banned forever and if he doesn't hope his career ends poorly in pain. Not a bigger ass out there. Luiz has to feel good every time he walks off the pitch after playing him because wow he has had some bad ones on him.

Also how funny was the second goal? Somehow two shanked clearances (I assume) turn into a world-class counter attack.

Honestly my reaction after Willian stuck it in was 'how the f**k did that happen?' while my City-supporting mate's expression slowly devolved into bulldog-chewing-a-wasp territory. He didn't even say bye before he stormed out of the pub!

That has got to be up there as one of the goal of the season contenders imo.

The best I could hope for before we equalised was a draw. It was pure madness how we turned it around. Courtois is a tall lad but he's grown meters in stature in recent matches, some fabulous saves. A word for Gary Cahill, an unlucky OG (the only way City could score haha) and a goal line clearance. He's the new John Terry.

Luiz was fantastic and Costa's goal was top drawer. I was wondering if Fabregas was even playing and then that pass. A great team performance and a classic game if ever there was one.

I have a secret to reveal :

I did bet on Chelsea winning 6/0 ...

That was going to materialise if Hazard did not miss his two 32 Chances and Cahill scored the opposite way :laugh2:

Most embarrassingly corrupt thing is after that cheating performance from the officials we'll be subjected to an FA charge for failing to control our players.

I sincerely hope we take legal action.
