Conte is really 'class'

Also, I never really felt Palace were going to score. I was that impressed by our side today.

Its good Costa got the yellow today, i dont want to say it was planned but i think it might be, get him out for bournmouth and then clean for the following games.

if a yellow is planned you do it in the 80th minute not teh 21st

Couldn't believe seeing the TVs after the game that Palace had more possession over 90 minutes! Just shows where you have it and what you do with it. Never felt we were in trouble, they seemed to give the ball away quite abit and couldn't string passes together like we did. Again so much working off the ball that the TV doesn't pick up. Costa Alonso Moses have so many trigger points where they change position depending on who has possession. A lot of hard work on the training ground. Have a good xmas everyone on here, enjoying being TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!

Given our fantastic run I think this tune is appropriate this evening, made even more enjoyable because it's by the same band that recorded the song that Palace run out to.

 

I recorded the game and just finished watching it. As expected Palace didn't park the bus, but I feel that William wasn't the right choice over Pedro. He hasn't impressed me, really, and we improved massively when Fabregas came on. I don't know if Conte wanted to give some rest to Pedro, though, was he on the bench? Overall, good three points and a great lesson of how to defend and still create the most wonderful football. I am enjoying having Conte so much!

How did we play?

Only saw the second half, but Alonso stood out to me, was unlucky not to score with the efforts he had. Would love to see him taking more free-kicks, that one he took today was about half an inch away from being inch perfect.

Top of the League at Xmas...long way to go, but we've already been given a great present...three similar games, three similar results...how depressing for everyone else

Couldn't be more proud of the team and Conte, 11 straight is just amazing and almost impossible in this stone age. After the Spurs game, I reckon most of us contend with the run coming to an end , and there's no shame in that. However the team just found a way to get the wins. Palace played one of their best game defensively, like Sunderland and WBA before, but we just grabbed the chance when it mattered. I was shocked when palace dominated possession for the first half of the second half. Conte to his credit, pulled out a great sub in Cesc, I reckon we'd lost the game if they had another 10-15 minutes of sustained pressure like that. Costa just showed his efficiency again, guess he deserved to have a Christmas at home after given his all. Hazard was a class above again. Alonso got a decent free kick in him, maybe he should take more.

This. Records are nice but can be taken away by being broken. What won't be taken away ever is their premiership titles. I'll have one of those instead for us, thank you very much.

Chelsea hold quite a lot of amazing records, it's quite satisfying to see Chelsea's name all over the place in that hall of fame kind of table.. We'll definitely gun down the gunners..
