honestly not bothered any more saying i wouldn't like us to spend this or that because ultimately it's the club's money, so if our board feels we have it to spend and it's necessary, then so be it.

Was just about to post the same thing.

I don't think any of us have a complete understanding of the financial situation at the club, in the league or across the world.  It is what it is.  Pints used to cost 5p!!!! They now cost 100 x that.

People need to stop talking about the price. It is literally a number and nothing else.

Its not the sum that worries me, its the fact he is coming back from injury. I'd rather chuck that 60M on a CB that has played the entirety of the last season and we know what we're getting. Instead we could end up with a very expensive dud if he isn't the same player when he starts playing again.

If we get Babayoko and VVD within the next couple of days then I think we've done very good business so far in this window. Patience is key, don't pay attention to fees anymore. The prem gets a lot more income compared to years ago and 60m is the new 30m.

I feel we just need one striker and it seems a wing back. If we get Sandro and Lukaku (i am not his biggest fan but i believe he will do the business for us). Then I think we would have an incredible window, I don't think we need a creative player and we should just show a little more faith in Cesc but I wouldnt say no to a James Rodriguez. If a world class player becomes available then we should show interest. I feel like that was the situation with Lewandowski, his agent gave out feelers and like any big club we pounced and there is no harm in trying.

You never really know until you start playing though in a lot of cases. Knee and ankle injuries do psychological damage as well. Anyone who's had one will tell you you're likely to back off a little because you don't trust yourself. Given it's a foot injury I think he'll be just fine unless there's some sort of degenerative problem. 

He'd be a quality signing IMO and would give us some flexibility to play different lineups
