January 17, 20188 yr A man on crutches shoot better than him. Please stop using him and put him in the development team.
January 17, 20188 yr A lot of people on here are going to be eating their words soon. Baka needs time to acclimitize. Remember pedro's first season?

Infact, he does need some credit for his performance this season. I mean, it must've been extremely difficult to play as sh*te as he has played so far this season. He makes Mikel look decent. Show some respect to Mikel. Great servant for the club and showed up to do a job in a lot of big matches. Crazy how a player with zero talent can be wanted by two of the biggest clubs in England and win a league title. If only we had the almighty Famous CFC from the Shed End feeding our scouts his immense knowledge of football.
January 17, 20188 yr I honestly think the biggest problem with him is he has absolutely no idea how to play in our midfield 3, he just looks a lot better player when in a standard 2 man midfield. He is constantly out of position and seems to hesitate when moving back or forwards, that hesitation is often enough to cause us problems in midfield. Now the reason behind that is the unknown, is it a lack of tactical understanding, poor coaching or just him finding his way in a new formation. I actually think its the new formation thing, which is why Conte keeps playing him. It may get to a point where a decision has to be made, only play him in the formation that suits him, or keep the 3 man midfield and not play him.

As he got older his talent(Or lack of it showed.) You can win as many medals as you like, it's all about what you contributed to them. The man was average at best. Extremely limited in what he did. I think in the 2013-2014 season he was voted our worst player in a poll. But hey, he was a great servant, that's the main thing. Frank Sinclair was a Great servant to Chelsea as well, as was Eddie Newton. I can assure there are a great deal of people who thought those two were sh*te. Great servants though. Worse than this mornings. 249 appearances under some of the worlds best managers, winning trophies (as a starter) for the man who was 'average at best'. But hey, he lost a poll I'm sure was very reputable and existed.

In a lot of those title winnings years anyone coulda filled the role he did and did it much better. Not my cup of tea, I'll got with that, big dog. And it's all about opinions at the end of the day. If we were any smarter in football terms we'd be working at SW6. Like clearly, stim and RIP Mourinho, either that or there close friends of Obi Mikel. Haha Edited January 17, 20188 yr by Famous CFC

I think in the 2013-2014 season he was voted our worst player in a poll. But hey, he was a great servant, that's the main thing. What he contributed to them? Well a MOTM performance in a Champions league final to begin with. Or i suppose you only started supporting Chelsea after we won that? Funny that you mention a poll, because he was voted Chelsea's YPOTY in 07 and again in 08. Also captained his Nigeria side to an AFCON. Made over 35 appearances for Chelsea every season but one. Four FA cups, 2 league cups, a Europa league on top of his Champions league. Over all of these years he was picked by world class managers to play for a huge club like Chelsea. But hey, Famous CFC on a Chelsea forum knows better because for one season he was voted our worst player. You spouted some stupid sh*t on this forum, but this is up there with the worst from you yet. I'm sure you'll come up with something better over the coming days though. Perhaps Drogba wasn't that good because he had an average goal to game ratio?

Why do people come out with that sh*t. My dads harder than your dad. I'm a truer Chelsea fan you. Get some fresh air, sir. It's all gravy.

Seem to remember you quoting a few Chelsea players from the 90's to someone a couple of weeks back and saying 'you probably don't even know who they were' so come of that high horse bullsh*t.
January 17, 20188 yr Back on Bakayoko, have to admit I didn't know a huge amount about him before he signed, but after all the hype, he has been a major disappointment. Not writing him off at only 23/24 but up to now he has been far too erratic and the bad has far outweighed the good but he did have an okay game against Utd. Think it says a lot that to date, his highlight has probably been the blue hair! Edited January 17, 20188 yr by Nibs

Out of curiosity, any reason you ignored the bulk of his post pointing out the accomplishments of John Obi Mikel? He did not turn out to be the player we hoped for and expected, fair enough. However, if you think was a hindrance or a passenger at best regarding his influence on the trophies picked up during his tenure to the extent "anyone" could have done his role, then what sort of charisma or blackmail did he have? He had numerous top tier managers come in and keep selecting him when they had other options and huge transfer funds/pull. I mean, either you are far more clever at football than the combined intellect of many of the best managers of this generation or Mikel had to have dirt on all of them for them (or seduced them with his charisma to ignore his play) to keep playing a passenger, right? Which one do you think it was?
January 17, 20188 yr Mikel >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bakayoko. Eventually in 2-3 years I will remove one of these ">" and change it with "..."

He needs some time playing with our team in good confidence before we see his true ability/potential, in my mind. This season will be a good experience for him to adapt and hopefully show us his mental toughness (which if he lacks he wont make it). really don't know why some are taking the piss out of him as much as has been the case. Pogba costed more than twice as much as was probably just as good his first season, now looking much better the following season. This is my expectation and I will reserve judgement till then. We did not buy a polished diamond, we bought a developing player with potential....we shouldn't always expect this class of player to instantly bring the goods when many more talented and/or established players in this team are failing to do so as well.

Looking through his league appearances i cant really see how he was consistently picked by numerous top tier managers. How many manager's have come into Chelsea and you can call top tier anyway? Scolari, Grant, Hiddink, AVB, Di Matteo, Benetiz, none of them are top tier.
January 17, 20188 yr Erm Pogba was FAR more of an influence in his first season than Baka has been. That's not even up for debate.

Of course Baka needs time but atm he is struggling to even do the basics. Yes you might think this is harsh but he looks like his playing without a football brain, that doesn't mean Chelsea should sell him though. Playing every single minute of every game has been doing more damage than good lately. That Arsenal game was something else then he carried it on into the Norwich game which was a midfield 2. Most fans think DD should be picked ahead of Baka atm and i agree.
