Of course, lets not forget how classy some Spurs fans can be with their songs in the past such as: "Sol, Sol, wherever you may be you're on the verge of lunacy and we don't give a f**k if you're hanging from a tree you're a Judas c**t with Hiv"
January 4, 20179 yr Winning this game would be the only shrivel of success that Spurs could muster from this season so expect a very, very tough match tonight. KTBFFH

Can't say I'm surprised.

KTBFFH I honestly think this could be the game of the season. I'm glad it's FA Cup this weekend cause I can see players needing a rest after this one. Just hope they don't resort to their dirty tactics and injure one of our lads.
January 4, 20179 yr Chelsea can counter White Hart Lane crowd - Premier League Daily Melchiot believes Chelsea's counter-attacking style will give his former club the advantage in Wednesday night's London derby at Tottenham Tottenham must entertain White Hart Lane when they host Chelsea, and the Blues could exploit it, says the Premier League Daily panel. Chelsea head to Tottenham on Wednesday night, live on Sky Sports 1 HD, looking to set a new record for consecutive Premier League wins in a single season by claiming their 14th straight victory. Tottenham were beaten 2-1 when the sides met at Stamford Bridge in November and, speaking on Sky Sports News HQ, the Premier League Daily panel believes the pressure to secure all three points against their rivals on home turf could backfire for Spurs. "Chelsea don't have to entertain the White Hart Lane fans," said former Blues defender Mario Melchiot. "If Tottenham start the game and sit back, maybe the fans will turn [on them]. "But the other side is that it's a derby, you have to win, so how are you going to go about it? You have to attack. And everybody knows the strength of this Chelsea side is the counter-attack." Oops! Remember you need to log in using your Sky iD to watch Premier League video Highlights as Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in November Ex-Arsenal full-back Nigel Winterburn believes the game will provide an "explosive" spectacle for the neutrals, but agreed the onus will be on Spurs to go out and win the fixture. "Tottenham are going to have to force the game a little bit, I'd be surprised if Spurs fans let them sit back," Winterburn said. "They know they're going to have to take the game to Chelsea a little bit. So providing we don't get a sending off, we're expecting an explosive game that a little bit of magic can decide." Melchiot - who joined the Blues from Ajax in 1999 before leaving for Birmingham City in 2004 - says Chelsea and Tottenham's players will be aware Wednesday's derby is about more than points. "It doesn't matter if you're not English, you pick it up very quick," he said. "As soon as you arrive in England, these are the games that people explain to you in a different way. "They tell you 'listen, this is not about you, not about whatever you have achieved. It starts tonight and it is about your fans'. "When you get that, you know you are going to be in a heated battle. This is why the Premier League is so special because these are the games you look forward to."
January 4, 20179 yr I hate spuds with a passion there fans are vile hypocrites the lot of em hope we stuff them but will take a draw tbh
January 4, 20179 yr Love to win but biggest fear is not to lose because the run has to end somewhere (hopefully not at three point lane) I am concerned they may try to rattle us again and after the City game we will be up for a points deduction if it kicks off like last seasons home game. Na bollocks, we are going to do it set a new record and sod em let them have a ruck and then deduct three points which won't matter by then anyway.
January 4, 20179 yr I think over these past couple of seasons the Chelsea - Spurs matches are the ones i look forward to the most. The rivalry seems to have heated up a lot recently.
January 4, 20179 yr We've not won a league game at 3 point lane since 2012 when we won 4-2, before that, I think we last won a league match there was in 2005. Its not been a happy hunting ground for us in the league for sometime, Spurs also have the 3rd best home record in the league, not losing a game yet, while we have the best away record in the league. I'm not saying we cant do it, its going to be a very difficult game for us. I'm very nervous about it anyway, win an 8 points clea and you could start wrapping the blue ribbons on it already IMO. Heart says 3-1 Chelsea, head says 1-1. Edited January 4, 20179 yr by Delnino

The hypocrisy and audacity of the nuckle dragging chav c**ts is astounding. Sitting there complaining about Kane coming out saying we want to end Chelsea winning run and calling us bitter. Oops was that me sorry all, this may be hard to swallow but I think I've hurt spud-Chelsea relations

January 4, 20179 yr Mark lawrenson thinks the spuds are going to end our run, I love all the pressure on them in front of their home crowd, their own fans are so pumped for this they are foaming at the mouths, sky sports saying other teams rooting for Spuds, I think even potch said that, do they think we give a sh*t, even if we lose we are 5 clear, 7 clear of city and 8 Arsenal, a draw is fine for us today, for them if they lose Man U will be even with them and the form they are in soon pass them, and they keep hyping up Tottenham...best thing they can do for us is keep mounting pressure on the bottle jobs.
January 4, 20179 yr Here's the million dollar question? Smash them off the park 5-0 or win 1 -0 due to a last minute OG by Harry Kane?
January 4, 20179 yr I'd rather the own goal be from Delle Ali. He's got such a punchable face. Whereas Harry Kane sounds like someone's already knocked him out at some point.
January 4, 20179 yr All Sky Sports Soccer Sat pundits have gone for either Spurs wins or a draw. Are they picking what they want to happen rather than what they think? I certainly think so
January 4, 20179 yr I actually think best we will get is a draw for some reason. I thought the same about the Man City game though and looked what happened, hopefully the same again.
January 4, 20179 yr FAIRBLUE said: ? I think all fair minded Spurs fans realise it is only a small mindless minority of Chelsea fans that are racist. Racist, homophobic & anti-semitic a special club of c**ts. Evidence over decades is overwhelming and is proof that is what you are. Your denial of this makes you complicit and therefore guilty as charged, when you glory hunt you gotta take the rough with the smooth, beggars can't be choosers. This Spurs forum is the gift that keeps on giving! Imagine trying to have a genuine conversation with one of them. So just to clarify, denying that the entire fan base is racist therefore makes you racist by default i believe??
January 4, 20179 yr Honestly I have no idea what the result will be. Them predicting a Spurs win or draw is smart because, if either happens they can say they knew it was coming, if we win then can just say Chelsea keep doing what we have been doing but we will lose soon then they are sure. My main concern is Spurs getting in our faces and trying to provoke us. That failure to control our players threat is hanging over our heads and you can believe Spurs need more than beating us today to pull us in. I can see any result, a win, loss or draw and do not think I will be shocked by any of them. Thankfully the results of Liverpool and arsenal have eased the pressure a drop today. Worst result and we are 5 clear of Liverpool, 7 from Spurs and city, 8 from arsenal and 10 from United. Now after the arsenal game how many of us would have believe that was our worst case league table scenario? Got to be thankful for that, and remember that if things are not happy on here in 7 hours or so.
January 4, 20179 yr I think the atmosphere tonight will influence the overall pace and feel of the game. Spurs fans are really pumped up for this and their team are going to come out fighting. I think Chelsea need to frustrate them and not concede an early goal. Composure will be key and Chelsea need to keep their heads. No red cards please. While players like Ali, Erikson and Kane can cause problems, our players have a maturity they don't and if we can block them out we could sneak a late winner. That or they completely lose it and we rubbish them 3 - 0. COYB.
