He was more involved, yes, but there were times when he was bullied off the ball very easily and then didn't even try to win it back, just gave up. He's all right, but nothing special, and his workrate still hasn't improved./

Pretty pleasant display today. Having made 9 changes. It's not easy to gel. But today I thought we loved very solid.

zouma looking like he is picking up match fitness

There were also times where he worked hard to win the ball back too. His work rate was fine. I think people are nit picking in all honesty.

I personally think that people are looking for Loftus-Cheek's faults rather than looking at the positives. All of the things he apparently wasn't good at today could be said about other players too. Chalobah lost the ball a few times and didn't work to get it back, same with Pedro, same with Willian. Players can't be 100% at all times in the game. For some reason, people seem to take more notice of it when it's Loftus-Cheek doing it more than anyone else.

Loftus-Cheek had a good game, he missed few chances, but he also created few chances. He tried his best, he was hungry for the ball and his movement forward was very good. If Pedro and Batshuayi were looking around before shooting, then they could find RLC alone and pass him the ball. Nobody's perfect, this is football. He lost few balls, but he tried to bring them back, he was dynamic on the pitch.

I can find more positives than negatives, let's not forget he's only 21 and he doesn't play regularly. Confidence and form affect a lot of football players.

Personally Im starting to get excited by Michy. You can see he has a ton of potential, hes just very raw. Fast, strong, good with both legs and has a great shot on him. You can see why conte doesnt trust him though, he is absolutely useless off the ball. Poor movement, no idea how to press and seems to constantly drift away from the action.

Cup tie vs lower league can always turn problematic , business done 4-0

thought every one acquitted themselves well , slotting into the 4-2-3-1 , it may not have been as fluid in the middle of the park but job was done handsomely

Hope Beggars stay , not so many games but medals maybe ?

RLC did great just his final end product  lot of other players misplaced passes and got mugged by them

Fab was great again but given a lot of room to pick some wonderful passes

Ivan with the nice curtain caller

Hope Willy okay for Dippers  , seems like it's perfect timing to go there and end their season

Like others I paid attention to the younger guys.

Thought they all looked better in their natural positions

Ake didn't do much as lwb, looked great at lcb.
Bats looked much better playing wider on the right once costa came on. He is not a sole striker more an alternative to Pedro or Willian
Zouma looked the part today. Quite good going forward, just a bit injury prone
Chalobah same as befor, good on the ball, soft off it. A bit better defensively today

Rlc played ok but that's a tough spot to hold down. Lots of competition.

In the end fab ran the game. Completely controlled the midfield. Great performance. Dave is a fantastic defender. We are so lucky to have him. Most improved player over last three seasons.

Solid performance overall. Fabregas was the star man, dictating the game from start to finish.

Batshuayi has a lot of raw potential but currently isn't up to it. He badly needs a loan to get consistent minutes and develop his overall game. If Costa were to get injured, then I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in Batshuayi leading the line. I'd much rather have someone like Llorente until the end of the season and re-evaluate Batshuayi for the following season then.

RLC got involved a lot and clearly has a lot of talent. There often seems to be something missing, though; the final pass, finish, sometimes he takes too many touches or gets lackadaisical. He's another that could do with a loan but currently I don't see us bringing in anyone of the requisite quality in the next few days and so RLC will have to stay.

I like the look of Chalobah a lot. He didn't put a foot wrong really and quietly does a very good job when called upon.

Good to see Aké at LWB as we may need him there if Alonso were to get injured. He wasn't really tested at all but first signs look positive in this position. I guess he'll probably play more as the LCB if used this season.

Also on a separate note - if this is to be his last game then great to see Ivanovic score. He's been a solid right-back for us for several years, a great servant to the club, scoring several vital goals over the years. I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

hope his substitution means he starts against liverpool

I hope not. Willian is a brilliant player but most of the times he has the ball the flow and speed of our attacks sort of dies away. He sticks to the ball for too long.

I think that our B squad did pretty well and I wonder whether we need any new signings for this season or not. Ofcourse the opponents weren't PL level but even so. I think Ake was playing very well (especially on the first hall). It was nice to see Ivan score If he is leaving in a few days.
