Again, how is PL even comparable to FA cup?

How is the PL even comparable to the double?

but seriously, we can lose to Man City in the league and win the league. We can lose to both city and united in the league and we still would be favourites to win. Lose to united and we don't win the fa cup.

On my way bck home. What a game, they definitely came to kill one of us, dirty bar stewards. Herrera's red well deserved and amazing that Rojo did not get sent off several times. He really is a dirty player. I hope he gets a ban after that stump on Hazard. And he was provoking Costa for the entire second half.

Any way, job done and bring on the Spuds!

One team came to play ugly for whatever reason - unfair ban on Zlatan, bad luck, their other strikers dropping at the final hurdle - lol, Jealous cus Chelsea only paid 32 for Kante whose made Pogba look like, well defo not Pogba of Juve fame.

Will always respect mour for his CFC service up until last summer, will again once he leaves the prem. But he got it wrong all day & night long today - tactically, team selection  and respectfully (c##t failed at that miserably by trying to get Eddie kicked off the park).

1-0 ,they got lucky courtesy of De Gea who was the only player in their team today to get near his counterpart in blue.

Enough said next to have Spurs put out. I've hedged my bets and got a flight over arriving May 20th leaving 28th, 1 or maybe 2 games I wanna be at fingers crossed then !!

This game reminds me those Madrid vs Baca games under Jose. One team is trying to play football ( as much as I dislike Barca), the other team is trying to stop the game and make it into a physical contest. It worked for him sometime, but it was a  f* ugly game.

Not really, the first half Chelsea only created a chance from a corner and some Hazard magic. So Mourinhos tactics was actually very good.He doubled up on Hazard and it worked. Not really sure what you mean. Chelsea just edged the first half but Utd started well. Not sure what some people expect, if you attack Chelsea you get punished on the break. Everyone knew they would try to ruffle Chelsea and the games at Stamford Bridge.

Without the sending off (lampard said it wasn't a sending off) the second half would of been very interesting.

Because if you try to play Barca at there own game you get demolished.

True, but last time we played Barca, we didn't try to kick them out of the game either. We defended deep and compact, without the unnecessary aggression. It's a completely different story when Jose's Madrid plays Barca. I know the teams have history, blahh.. but..

so we know what the manure gameplan was - take lumps out of Hazard

The picture isn't from tonight's game!!

You are right and the kicking off Hazard tonight was ridiculous and Mourinho has set his teams out like it before. I remember the Real vs Barca games like you say. Mourinho is the best at sending out his teams defensively organised. I remember when he set Chelsea up against Liverpool with Kalas making his debut with Ivan at CB, the pair kept a clean sheet at Anfield. People take the piss out of parking the bus but it works.

Its defiantly a mentality thing and the players on the field need to realise there is a limit. Herrera was eager but I still don't think it's a red card. Mourinho knows Hazard is the main man, probably hopes Utd could kick him out the game. Fair play though he don't lose interest and never gives up.

Very good all round performance tonight, Hazard ran the show and Costa was hilarious :laugh2: Begovic looked a bit shaky when called upon but luckily Yoonited didn't offer much themselves. Azpilicueta's misfired shot was typical, sick of seeing it

So what six years and number of trophies wiped of after one heated half of cup football....

Not the point. I agree fans shouldn't be singing f*ck off Mourinho but what he's done is in the past now that he's at a rival club. I'd be perfectly happy with the fans being neutral unless provoked. There's no reason to show him disrespect when he's done so much for the club but cheering his name shouldn't be happening either at this point.

the referee observed a pattern of pre mediated fouls upon one of chelseas players in particular, one of those fouls had been just seen the ref show a yellow card to Herrera, then Jones takes Hazard out (provoked an un zen like Conte to approach mourinho on the touchline) the referee Mr Oliver talks to united captain (unless you lip read -what's he said?) surmising this - your team is persistently fouling Hazard....next foul will be a yellow. The referee has a duty to protect the players, in this case his judgement call was to award the yellow for perhaps as a 'stand alone' tackle may not have warranted a caution. Hope the FA look at Rojo's stamp he seems to make a habit of stamping

GET IN...almost home but what a cracking night at the Bridge...real needle and we stood up to Jose's tricks...that red card for Herrera couldn't have happened to a nastier prick...it upsets me to think a gent like mata has to share the same dressing room as him...

only downer for me was extent of anti jose chants...it was banter five months ago, this was more vitriolic...he may have said a few things over the last year but we know better than anyone it's bollox and he's just trying to get in with utd...

even if he is a bit of dick from now on, no-one should forget what he brought to our club and took us on to the level we are now...and for me, he was spot on with his post match comments, if not his tactics.

Those fans who chanted abuse at him should be embarrassed.

So tell me how every Utd player knew if they dare went Hazard they would get booked? Hazard must of known how easy he went down. Did Smalling call everyone over for a team bonding session just to let everyone know? Of course he didn't. Only Smalling and Jones knew even if it is true. You think Herrera would of stuck a leg out if he knew?

That is BS refereeing if it's true and if thats what Oliver said it's pointless as for it to be take the right effect you would need to let every Utd player know or give Smalling 2mins to run round and tell everyone. Inconsistent refereeing and there was much worse fouls in the second half which went unpunished.

I honestly think the whole mourinho vs. the fans thing is overblown nonsense. Seems like just a bit of banter back and forth. We gave it to him so he gave it back. Were we supposed to great him with quiet golf claps after he essentially drew up a game plan that read in bold words: DON"T LET HAZARD BEAT US!"? Of course not! And when the fans inevitably chanted out some not so nice things did anyone thing Jose f**kING Mourinho was going to just stand there and take it? f**k that. This is sports for God's sake; it's the most serious of utterly irrelevant nothingness. I frankly loved the whole thing (with the exception of trying to hurt our Eden) and can't wait for the game at Old Trafford.
