Here's the latest report from Italy saying that we're putting in a €60m or £54m bid for him...it says that Conte is confident that he'll get his man before 31 August...

Just bid £65m and focus on other targets.

Another one to put in the almost signed with Lukaku, Stones, Koulibaly etc!

Are we missing something here or is it just as f**king obvious as it looks, don't piss about pay 10 million more, make a season changing signing....learn from the past. Maybe we are all just thick and there is some complex situation we are overlooking but seems pretty f**king simple, seems city do it that way. If paris can pay 200 million, we can't pay 10 above what we fancy paying?

This guy is not f**king leaving Torino can we move on to trying to sign players that we might have a chance of getting ? Ffs

who you mean us in the forum? We can't sign players mate we can just talk about it, we have no clue what the board are doing..other than not paying enough to turn their heads.

In my opinion, while some may see it as conservative and spending within our "limits", I don't, I see it as weak. We're a vastly more popular team worldwide than Man City. A Russian Billionaire, Shirt Sales, Premier League Reward Money, Player Sales, New TV Deal and we still are trying to pull an Arsenal and scrounge as much as we can.

I disagree.
While I feel Morata has a higher ceiling than Lukaku, I think Stones could've been molded into a great CB under Conte and nothing Koulibally has done has made me think he's not a superb defender.

Can we please start looking elsewhere rather than wasting anymore energy on this one...

are we wasting energy on this or is it media continually spouting nonsense? the media need stories/rumours and this is one of them. fabrizo romano and di marzio would know more about this than anybody considering they're the most reliable journos in italy, but yet they have been quiet on this so don't believe it. the english media are certainly the worst and most clickbaity.

You know what people slate this kind of talk but I agree, ambition makes money and real Madrid proved that from 2006 to now, he is making the Chelsea brand very valuable, those players that help us win are nothing but investment in strengthening teh brand and teh value of Chelsea as an entity...

He is obviously a good business man but it seems a stupid time to pull back on the ambition, in 6 years we can say we have been an elite level club for 20 years, if we win another CL bring in star players, it will, as mentioned, pay off in the value of his asset, he must know this, which leads me to believe he must be in a bit of a financial downturn, because it makes no sense business wise to become Arsenal at this point in our growth we are in a position of strength why put dampers on the building process now?

Kalidou Koulibaly would have impressed you guys who haven't seen him play that much.

He is a awesome defender. He would be my choice over Rüdiger by miles.

good chance to see how he performs as juve play spurs at wembley today.

Tottenham I'm sad to say are a brilliant team, busy, lively, they have 2 outstanding players in Ali and Kane I think they will challenge again.
