if you ask me yesterday i would happily take a draw for this game

but after today's shock lost this is a must win imo, with the spuds going to liberty stadium don't think they'll drop points there

massive massive game

Sickened to not have won today. What ever about us being 7 points clear this has definitely given Spurs hope now. This has become a must win. Hopefully we'll edge it by a goal

If Diego decides to pull his finger out of his arse then I think we'll win.

That is key, absolutely is. However Diego has form with this. Fell out with Jose and stopped giving effort. Has he fallen out with conte? Did the China move really turn his head?

Bottom line for me today proved it. A Diego motivated wins the game today. He is too good not to score some of those chances. It only happens when his head is not right and if I am right we have a big problem and conte either has to sort him out, which I do not think he can, or drop him. Who for though? He does not trust batman does he?

Must win. Can't afford to drop points in consecutive back to back home games now. It is a bummer we lost to palace.

its now up to the team to really put in a performance and get the job done.

I think a lot will depend on the Arsenal result for City and how they play.  If they beat Arsenal it will give them a real desire to win.....none of the top 4 are out of this race.....we just made it more interesting with today's result.

Tottenham have an easy few games, I can see them winning five on the trot, but they have to play Arsenal and United, so they may drop points. A win for City would put them back in the race, so we can't afford that, realistically a draw would leave us 5 points clear, barring a miracle in Wales, which won't happen. The United and Everton games are now probable must win games, so it's going to be very tight and maybe it'll be decided on the last day of the season, a lot hinges on Wednesday night, a loss would be devastating, a draw passable.

Assuming all are fit and batman is not a consideration for conte, which appears the truth.

Yup our best goal threat at center forward.

except if diego's injured, there's no way conte will drop him especially against city

remember our game last year at etihad, one of the best center forward performance i've ever seen from diego, and now he's the weak link of the team, oh how time flies

Really only a win does here, people don't own this but we were very fortunate to win last time out, KDB buries that open goal chance and we were done, they run us all over the park, defence looked like they were on the benny hill show at times our clinical finishing saved the day, we seem to be off the boil in that respect now, we haven't done as well as usual against top 4 sides, to say this is a must win is an understatement, by Wednesday night we could be very conceivably be only 4 points clear of spuds with 7 to go, that is a tragic week considering yesterday morning we were 10 points clear, this is a must win no two ways about it, I'm expecting at the worst case scinario a brilliant performance, players running out of their skins for 90 mins, they owe the fans a Cup final performance here and I think conte will make that very very clear to them.

For confidence and self-belief, we must win this.

I think Conte will fire up the players to deliver us a big performance on Wednesday night.

Not too mention for still keeping control in the league. After City on wednesday we have Bournemouth, United and Everton away in our next four fixtures.

Thats a very tough schedule and if we lose wednesday we'll have handed over the advantage to Tottenham for me.

That loss yesterday did all kinds of damage.

3pts here and we're back in the driving seat..absolutely no room for complacency if we sit back and let citeh attack us from the off then we're gonna be 2 down within 10minutes...really hoping conte gets them fired up and raring to go because boy do we need it...has for the team if Moses still ain't fit then bring zouma in next to Luis and give dave the rwb position much prefer Pedro in a more attacking position...keep the faith people...::ChELSeAFaN::

That it did, next 5 games are really difficult ones for us and gimmie ones for Spurs. Wonder what the gap will be, if there is one at all, when those games are done.

Huge game no doubt, but I feel more comfortable playing against City than another opportunists team. We know what they could do in attack, but they are awful at the back, even without Bravo. When was the last time we saw Arsenal score straight from a corner? The set piece defending from City was amateurish.

I expect us to bounce back from Saturday and win this game.

Back to the Bridge again for me for this one. Disappointed in Saturday for sure after flying in. This a huge game now, regardless the opponent, following Palace. Just happens it is City.

We all know the toughness of the games to follow. Everton and United will be difficult. If we can get 3 out of 6 points from those two would be huge, but first things first. Need to get all 3 Wednesday. We cannot count on Spurs dropping points anywhere. We need one of those dominating performances again like in the first half of the season. I agree with many, City defense will allow some oportunity,  but will ours as well?

Is Moses back Wednesday? I feel Pedro has had a terrific year, but not at right wing for me. Is Costa still ailing? I thought Matic was poor Saturday, though Cesc tried a few too many sensational flick passes that went the wrong way. Desperately need a spark from someone.

The fans need to be loud for this one. Come all and  in full voice!

Come on you Chelsea!! :bluescalf::bluescalf:

As shown against Arsenal, City look absolutely shocking at the back. As long as our defense can keep tight Hazard should have a field day up the other end of the pitch. Hopefully Diego pulls his finger out for this one too.

I really hope we don’t set up like we have done against Spuds and Liverpool and sit back early on. That’s literally the worst thing we could do as City are so strong in attack but awful at the back.

We need to attack them because that’s the only way we will hurt them.

I fear we will start slow though as we tend to do against the top sides and it really hinders us.
