I will add one more thing to my post above.

We are at a point in the season with so few matches remaining (5) and a four point lead, there is no need to care what Spurs do. Let it sink in. I know it is not easy to do, but focus on the Chelsea opponent and our performance, play well and pick up 12+ points and it is Chelsea Champions time!! ::ChELSeAFaN::

Come on you Chelsea!! :bluescalf::bluescalf:

If you are genuinely managing to completely ignore what Spurs are doing then I salute you.

I have tried...but it's impossible lol

Courtois

Azpilicueta - Luiz - Cahill

Moses - Kante - Matic - Alonso

Fabregas

Costa - Hazard

Everton 1 Chelsea 3

Hazard, Costa, Alonso

Everton don't play very well with back 3, Pennington looks awful Costa and Hazard needs to target him, we need a fast start as Everton usually start slowly, won't be an easy game but we have more than enough to beat them

Whatever happens i hope either willian or fabregas start. we have no other players that can deliver a set piece and at this time of the season all goals are important. Take for example our firsr 3 goals against spurs came of set pieces, and  costa and cahill goals against sothampton came from set pieces i know conte loves the pedro costa hazard front 3 but i rather pedro be replaced by either willian or fab and come in as an impact sub

Shut down the supply to Lukaku and we'll make this a lot easier for ourselves. I'd be tempted to go for the 352 again with Fabregas, Matic and Kante all playing with Diego and Eden up top. Willian and Pedro can come on for the last half hour against tired legs if need be.

2 and a bit days to go and the anticipation and nerves grow. Lol.

Yeah tell me about it, this football lark really f**ks up your weekend. I might spend it in a pub trying not to think about football.

Starting cesc makes sense guys but has conte ever decided to start with him in a big away match? Pretty sure conte goes with Pedro or willian. If we want to make the most of corners we need cesc though. We have Alonso for free kicks at least.

Everton will certainly be up for this game. Mind you every team we have played this season have been up for it.

If we play with the same commitment as last Saturday, then I think we'll win.

This Game is as big as a cup final for us & with a back four which includes Baines, Jagielka & Williams we have to go for pace and play Pedro/Willian and Hazard.

Majority of the footballing public including the Spurs team know that if we are to crumble this would be the game and if we can get a win against Everton I am sure heads will drop at WHL, in addition to that it would be great putting one over Spuds in consecutive weeks.

Matic was injured for that one right Bobby? In other news Paul merson has pooed on my theory and predicted both us and Spurs to win. Bold, especially with our poor record there and their home form being formidable, but I would be quite happy if he is proven right. I highly doubt it but we will see.

Can't remember tbh

i think contes biggest problem with fabregas is that he can't play effective conte-ball for 90 minutes, which means you effectively have to set aside a substitution for him somewhere between the 65th and 75th minute. fabregas is as wonderful as a technican that he is an horrible athlete.

any coach would want at least two (ideally three of course) substitutions available for changing a game. they can be defensive options if we need to lock the shop or offensive firepower if we need to score. i would also assume that every coach wants at least one sub available if there is an acute injury.

i think fabregas should play (3-5-2), because he is a) smart with the ball and b) technical. this lets us keep the ball and when we have the ball, at least we can't concede.

but conte will also have a good reason to not start fabregas. i fear that sunday will have a high octane game in store, and i think we need running power for 90 minutes to seal the deal.

Much being made of everton's 8 match home winning run and lukaku against our porous defence. Should we be breaking out the private Frasier "we're doomed" gifs again?

I just said that is what we need to do  I even said it is not easy, but is the truth.

I am trying to approach our games with 100% of my energy and focus and then if we win, pay attention to Spurs result as a nice dessert should they lose or like a cigarette after sex :laugh2:

Mirallas for them

Luiz and Hazard for us

Luiz hasn't scored as many as I hoped he would like that rocket powered header against us in the CL cheeky monkey, would love to se him score, I give garry a lot of stick for his defending but he finishes like a CF

Yeah I remember when he scored the free kick against Liverpool about a week before I said to my brother that he owes us a goal. Maybe it's due to him been more disciplined now, less risks means less goals. I feel he's maybe due another goal

Yeah Cahill loves a goal, he's scored more than DeBruyne, Silva, Barkley and others this season.

I watched Everton at West Ham. They were dreadful. I know everyone picks it up against us but really, we are good enough to win this game. Our record at Goodison isn't that great so tomorrow's a chance to put that right.

Come on Chelsea
