May 24, 20179 yr This might possibly be one of the most unpopular opinions possible for a Chelsea fan, but I dont think we were "robbed" out of the 2008/09 final. Malouda: Contact outside the box DD/Abidal: Minimum contact and if it was the other way round (JT/Etoo), and a penalty was given, we would be saying that Etoo dived Pique/Anelka: 50/50. Not an un-natural position considering his hand was already raised (natural position) and it was the back hand. No movement towards the ball and its the case of "we have seen it been given and not given". Ballack: Just like the pique one. Natural position and the general blah, plus eyes were not even on ballack, more like protecting his face.To be fair, I think this was far more obvious than pique as, you just dont be in the box and raise your hand to protect. But again, "we have seen it been given and not given". Given the moment and ballack's reaction and our desperation, and then DD's outburst, I think the whole thing was blown out of proportion. I think PSG game was a case of blatant CHEATING and corrupt officiating. Ours was just a case of poor hopeless refreeing (dont forget abidal was wrongly sent off). Now I am gonna log off, as I am sure, I am going to get a lot of hearing to.

May 24, 20179 yr I find it hilarious that Barca 09 is a massive uproar (rightfully) but Inter tie a year later is brushed under the carpet.

Probably something to do with the fact that Inter was better then us over those two ties. But yes i agree that should have been recognised more too. Maybe we were just too numb from the year before and half expected it. Barcelona is still the worst for me but a long distance though. We fecking spanked "the best team in the world" that night at the Bridge. Still think a bunch of shady sh*t went on between UEFA and Barcelona. Both of those parties have been proven to be filled with criminals since that time, it isn't excactly unheard of to suggest they did it then too.
May 24, 20179 yr Ovrebo a Man whose name should go down in infamy. And it would do if I could spell it properly.

Both of those parties have been proven to be filled with criminals since that time, it isn't excactly unheard of to suggest they did it then too. In terms of the overall balance you were right we weren't half as good, but factoring in a few things make it just as hurtful. Firstly Walter Samuel should have been sent off in the first leg at the stroke of half time, meaning 45 minutes vs ten men plus there best defender (who was absolutely colossal in the second leg) suspended. Then there's Lucio manhandling one of our players i can't remember who, and i think we had another stonewall pen turned down at The Bridge, all situations would have given us the chance to go ahead in the tie from the spot, so that's three decision's that would have turned the tie in our favour wrongly not given. So despite not being the better side over two legs, we were definitely robbed just as much as the year before. Secondly after beating Barca in the first leg of the semi, Jose said "last year my Chelsea boys were crying and they were laughing", i mean my word i know he can be hypocritical at times but he really took the meaning of the word to another level in that instance.
May 24, 20179 yr I suspect that Anders Frisk was in trouble with the taxman and that's why he vanished so quickly.

Every single game where Scholes is a pundit for a United game, he goes on about where United should be. He forget's that United are just one club out of hundreds of other clubs. United are where they should be right now because they aren't good enough to be in a better position. I'm also bored of the Queen song too. It's everywhere, it get's a bit boring hearing it every year. I'm also bored of hearing "Championes, Championes, Ole! Ole! Ole!". It's ok hearing it once or twice, but when it's repeated again and again and again, it get's really boring. So bored of "Championes, Championes, Ole! Ole! Ole!". It doesn't even have a nice tune. Why is it even so popular in England?
May 24, 20179 yr I strongly dislike the English national team and laugh when they lose to the likes of Iceland, and I'm sick to death of hearing about the '66 world cup.

May 24, 20179 yr Author I have a new one, pundits and the media constantly banging on about next season. I've just seen United win the EL final and I noticed when we won the title and the day of the trophy lift that pundits were obsessed with what was to come. You're supposed to enjoy these moments when you win silverware, this is what football is about.
May 25, 20179 yr Promoting players from youth academies is over romanticised and I am lost about the obsession of clubs playing the "youth".

You an me both, it's so boring whenever a youth player gets sold and ll we hear is "another great young player lost", as they end up 3 years later at yeovil or something.
