Can't we put OX in the Pedro role ? With Hazard out, Pedro and Willian both will be starting (I guess). And due to the amount of games at the start of the season, we can't only use Musonda as a sub.

Not good enough as a winger.

Why get him now? He's stated that he won't sign another contract so he'll be a free agent next season so wait till then and flog Matic abroad now and avoid strengthening a London rival...well I say rival...

To be honest if we are in silly season of swap deals and just say Arsenal have contacted us , my answer would be Sanchez in the deal or go swivel.

I still don't get where the Sanchez idea comes from, I mean would you take him as your main striker ? Unless you play with a false 9, like Napoli did last season.

He was ok when Arsene put him up top.  Adds fluidity to that frontline

How do you mean ? The Cech deal was like three years ago.

Wouldn't actually mind him at this point he is versatile (can cover RWB,CM'ish' and RW) and homegrown always thought he has been poorly managed by Wenger and could play consistently at a higher level than he has.

Also if he applies himself I don't see why he can't take Moses' place.

However I don't think its a good move for him right now as he will probably want to be guaranteed more football than we can offer him.

Yeah but Arsenal apparently agreed with us that they would sell us one of their players (apart from Ozil, Sanchez, Kos ect) and Ox isn't signing a new contract I think they will sell if we put a bid in

Where would he play though? Or would he be used all over the shop?

He's not at our level.

 

Much better fit for West Ham or Stoke. 

He's a Chelsea boy and he would be a very smart signing IMO, providing cover in a number of positions where we need it, and being homegrown.

 

He's a player I feel Conte would improve but the question is if he'd get enough playing time to see that improvement materialise.

 

He will be way over-priced and if we were interested we should steer clear of any swap deals with Matic. On the plus side he only has a year left so there should be room to negotiate.

 

Arsenal won't want to sell to us and there is talk about Liverpool but ultimately he will have a say in where he goes, and let's remember his beef with Arsenal is that he doesn't get enough games.

Basically I would see him as cover for Moses, would rather Musonda got the game time further up the field.

Yeah imo especially as its a world cup year he is going to want to sign somewhere he is guaranteed to start

What do you mean by that? Arsenal agreed to sell a player to us? Really?

We need depth and more English presence in the team, wouldn't be surprised if we get him or Barkley.

I like Ox and would be pleased if we got him. If so I'd have RWB in mind as his primary role; a role for which I think we need to recruit a new starter. My preferred choice would be Ricardo Pereira but, if that can't happen, The Ox would be a great addition.

I'd take the ox as an alternative to Moses. I think he could also play in central midfield at a pinch. Lots of energy.

Never liked him as a player. Seems like his is one of these guys who are all pace from the English-mould. No footballing IQ. However he could work as backup.

He's a decent footballer but a bit of a Jack of all trades, master of none. 

He isn't better than any of our attacking players, he's not better than our midfielders and Moses is probably the better wingback. 

So what would you do with him? Considering you'd be looking to pay a small fortune in transfer fee and wages what's the attraction to buying him?

For a decent fee (max of 20mil considering the facts that he has just 1 year on his contract, arsenal are looking to sell and he is looking to leave), I would say he is a must buy. 

Still just 23, good player and can play as a RWB, CM, RW. All in all, would be good enough signing.

I'd take him for £20-£25 mill.

Not the best RWB out there but he has only just started playing it. With Contes guidence (master of the wingback formation&system) you never know he could become a quality RWB. Definitely has the engine and skill for it.

People who think he won't come because of the playing time. top footballers have alot of self belief so any player that doesnt sign for a top side because he doesn't think he can make the first team isn't worth it and won't be a top player.

Moses won't be able to do 50+ games this season and pulling players out of there regular positions (Pedro or Dave) to cover doesn't help.

 

 

 

I wouldn't mind him at all, i remember reading we were really interested in getting him during the 2015-2016 summer. He is 23, home grown and can play in many areas and would give added depth to the squad.
