Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Feels like our last couple of needed signings are dragging on, would like this one to be tied up ASAP. Would be a decent buy with plenty of time to mold the player into something Conte see's as Chelsea quality.

Following the sale of Matic I think it would be a good signing.
When we were linked with him before then it didn't seen to make much sense but given his versatility and our lack of numbers in the middle I'd take him, especially for £35m which isn't exactly a King's ransom in the current market.

And he is better than 45m Sterling.

Considering the fact that we desperately need at least two more players, a CM and a WB, among the players we have been linked with, signing Ox should be the priority because he can play both position then later we can try to get other targets before the end of the transfer window.

I would prefer Sergi Roberto.

We should get both if we have the funds. Both can play CM and RWB. It would solve half of our current problem areas

Moses strength, pace, plus his dribbling ability. Plus Moses is from the tough streets of Nigeria.

Tough streets of 'Croydon' you mean? ;)

So is this actually happening then? Its' starting to look very likely. Homegrown, young, will add to squad depth, not going anywhere with Arsenal...

Don't understand how the board are insistent on buying young players with a re-sale value, then are actively pursuing Oxlade-Chamberlain who has 1 year left on his contract and the numbers being circulated are 30m+. Ox is a winger, certainly not a CM. I have never seen a midfield more dominated than when we beat Arsenal 3-1 last season when Ox was in the middle. We complain about Fabregas being a passenger when we don't have the ball but he is just as bad. Mourinho has got it spot on, to win the premiership you need a big, strong midfield. Matic + Pogba and Wanyama + Dembele are by the far best midfield pairing in the league; Kante will only take you so far.

Almost he came to London at 14 as an asylum seeker after losing both parents in Nigeria, he actually was under the tuition of ex Chelsea player Colin Pates on a scholarship to whitgift school in croyden.

Bit early to call pogba matic the best partnership isn't it, wanyama however is a beast he makes a big difference him and dembele put kante and matic on the little boy chair last season but I'd put that down to matic more than kante, kante and bakayoko will be a top partnership hopefully

When we beat United 4-0, Kante is still overrated
But when they beat West Ham 4-0, Pogba and Matic are bloody world beaters.
Typical United Rhetoric and media bias.

I agree to an extent. Maybe in the case of Matic and Pogba I should have said potential to be in the top 3. Matic for large parts of last season was class, not so much towards the end however but he's still got it in him to be a top PL player. I do have high hopes for Bakayoko, I haven't seen much of him but seems like a box-to-box beast, an Essien type player. I hope he turns out to be worth his price tag

Yeah I know he came to south London when he was young, I was only joking! :)

There are so many people literally crying for transfers and almost the same number questioning every rummor. There must be part of them doing the both activies, I bet. :D

Chamberlain  is a diamond. Don't doubt him because he had to play for the Voyeur. This is going to be a huge, huge transfer. The quality is real.

Is it ? Cause he never really show it. He has quality, like many others, but just like many others, he don`t have consistency.
And to be a top player, you need that.

That`s what seperate top players from just a good ones.

I want him to come, but let`s not pretend, he was our first choice or that he was top class player. He may become better with Conte, but that is yet to see.

Offer him 99k.

He is currently on 65k at Arsenal, 85k should be good for a start and then we can give him a new deal of 120k in 2 seasons if he turns out to be an important player for us. And don't forget he is injury prone so the wages mean a lot.

Who was Conte's first choice for right WB? Because I don't remember any rumours for this position.

Think he wants Candreva for RWB, mate. If we're to believe reports, the board arent willing to sanction the move because he is 30, and therefore the board are opting for the younger Joao Cancelo.

Well done to the board for that...

I don't think he's injury prone, he just plays for Arsenal. Most players improve on that area when they leave The Emirates.
