If they keep playing with cheat mode on and spending infinite money with no repuercussions, they'll dominate for the next decade.

The infinie money bit is a farce as far as I'm concerned. We got so much stick from all corners when we were buying up the best players. City are almost being praised for it!

England have their interests with abu dhabi and qatar etc... they better not criticize them too much !! Same for PSG and France! Plus, they also have Pep who can turn the worst nonce of all time into the 21st century Gandhi !

I might be in a minority here, But, I don't think we'r in the top three English clubs in the UCL, let alone one of the best teams in the competition

I agree. But not always do the best teams win this competition ... Orelse London will still be without any european cup

Difference is when we came into money, we levelled up the playing field. We weren't really paying insane amounts and out-bidding other teams, we just had the money to compete. The first few seasons we spent a lot to catch up. City and PSG are just taking the piss.

they also contribute to inflate the transfer bubble ... sooner or later, players like carroll or the likes will be worth a minimum 50-60 million £!!

Congratulations citeh to both the league and the record and honestly speaking it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they get to the cl final (may even win it!!) They really are on another planet with the way they are playing and winning games...

True. As I've said before though, in this current age of football, we'v got to decide what we want to be. Are we going to compete with City? If so the Roman needs to do a lot of thinking. If not, then let's start using some of this amazing youth talent we have on our books.

We need to reinforce in summer to challenge again we can’t repeat last summers transfer window.

to challenge for league and be in the ucl u need a big and strong squad

Not necessarily. You just need quality players and especially quality creative players. Barcelona for e.g don't have a big squad, but their first team has quality players in it

Its a Chelsea thing mate.......if we did what city have done we would have the Whole footballing World on our backs.......at least in eng. City can spend what they want......can announce another sponsor deal with themselves worth 100m a season and they will get praised for it. Thats what we are dealing with here.......now put the bent refs, the corrupt pgmol and fa.....plus our own boards inability to spend the Money and you get Chelsea 2017-2018 season.

And what a boring boring match that was.....utd were beyond sh*t and lacked motivation and hunger........this was supposed to be a League seller, a high-end game......it was pathetic.

we should also sort out our youth "problem"...

Can you imagine the backlash had Moyes been manager of United and they'd played like they did today?

Who are we kidding - under Moyes they wouldn't have roled over and taken it quite as easily.

I'm astonished at how bad United were. Abysmal football, predictable result.

Get to f**k see ya next year you heinous twats.

anyone wondering why city don't get stick for spending big should start researching the influence and prominence of UAE and Qatar in football and europe in general and then you'll understand a lot of things... someone on the site posted a link regarding the etihad sponsor contracts with city and all the dodgy stuff it implied financially speaking... worth a read for sure!

This also applies to PSG!

Ohh for sure mate......and its somewhat also the reason why us having a russian owner is hurting us. Alot of politics going on as it always had. They love them arabs, lots of Money to be had......both for football and other facets.

If it's true what City are doing is shady, then why hasn't someone brought it up so far? Wouldn't their greatest rivals, United, make a complaint atleast. My biggest gripe is the silence over all their dealings!

there's no illegality in what they do per se... although they've been banned from recruiting young players recently ... it is more to do with the fact that the state of UAE might be financing City through various means and canals... Also UAE are extremely influent in football and also, although much less than in football, in international politics ... Utd may not want to risk going toe to toe with them! Nor anyone else !

Unfortunately we simply don't have the financial muscle to compete. My worry isn't so much that we can't compete with City to try and catch them, but that we'll actually add to the distance by losing Hazard and Courtois. I really believe the PL is on the cusp of a Scotland Germany type of league and not even as competitive as Spain or Portugal.
