I don't agree with Robben, Makelele, Willian and maybe even Carvalho too. If it's the decade, then it goes back to 2007. Robben wasn't even at the club at this point 10 years ago, he had already left for Real Madrid. Makelele was into his last season for the club and Carvalho wasn't quite as good from 2007 to 2010 for us, still good, but not as good as his first 3 season's.

I would pick Cahill in front of Carvalho, Cahill has been a regular for the seven season's he has been at the club and won 6 trophies, including 2 European trophies and 2 Premier League trophies. No CB other than Terry can say they have done that at the club.

Kante would be ahead of Makelele. He may have been here only one full season so far, but i think he was more impressive during that season than any other defensive midfielder has been for us in the last 10 years.

I don't know how Ray Wilkins can include Willian as a CM, he's never even played there, it's either Ballack or Fabregas. For now, i think Ballack just edges it. If Fabregas wins one more major trophy with us playing as a regular, then he has to take the position. Essien misses out because 2007 was the point where he started picking up serious injuries. He wasn't the same for us from that point.

RW is hard to pick. We have had decent players play there but none of them have made the position their own. Willian probably get's it because he has played there more than any other player for us over the last 10 years.

The comments in regards to Fabregas and Cahill seem strange. Just because someone has won trophies doesn't mean they deserve something over a better player that has won nothing. It would be like not including Harry Kane in the team of the season every year because Spurs win sweet f**k all (and long may it continue).

We are probably all analysing this a little too much and we don't know just how much thinking Wilkins put into it.

Robben, Hazard and Drogba all key at their peak times in winning us the league titles.

Cavalho and Cahill, though Cahill gets knocked is it only me that thinks he was much better playing in a four with Terry? I rarely recall him making mistakes when alongside Terry.

I do recall Cavalho using the dark arts of the game and refs turning a blind eye on occasion.

I would have put Kante in with Makele along with Frank though perhaps Wilkins thought Kante had only been here a year and so omitted him.

What I liked about his selection is it looked like a proper team and a balanced team though more from 2000-present.

I'm not 100% on American sports but hasn't NBA recently overtaken NFL? NFL was one of the largest growing sports and it has recently taken massive backlashes over the years I've been reading.

The NBA has seen a large uptick recently but as far as I know NFL still rules. They are facing problems though. It's too easy to sit at home and watch your team and a dozen others now so some teams face attendence issues. They are also finding out that fans don't want to watch on Thursday, Sunday and Monday especially if their team don't play on Sunday. We had a Thursday night game a few weeks back and I didn't bother watching any other games until we played the following Monday.

Bruhhhhhhh Cahill over Ricky

No

Just no!

If we talking about all of Carvalho's career with us, then i would pick him, but we are talking about his last 3 season's with the club, 2 of those season's he was in and out of the squad. Cahill has played a bigger and better role for the club in the last decade than Carvalho has.

But i'm not picking them just for the trophies they have won. There aren't any players that we have had that has performed better than Cahill or Fabregas in their positions in the last decade. Ballack is the only one that comes close to Fabregas and that is why i said he edges it at the moment.

No chance. He's basically at City already.

I hope not. We should make him one of our priority signings if City don't already have him.

Salah is currently top goal scorer in the league.......i never expected to see that.

I know right? He's been very productive lately. Completely outshone Mane

He's improved on everything he lacked when we signed him. He's a bit stronger, his movement is almost spot on, but his biggest improvements are his finishing and composure. It seem's like it was a bad idea to sell him at this point, maybe a year out on loan would have been better for us.

His was a case of right player wrong time. Jose didn't have the patience to mould him and the club did loan him out to Fiorentina and Roma. Then we had issues about him and Roma before finally selling him last year, not sure if it was before or after Conte signed on.

Just wasn't in the cards for us.

Good point, i forgot that we loaned him for a while before selling.

I know it's been talked about to death on here, but it's incredibly frustrating to see so many players we let go doing so well for our rivals now. If you're mid table club you kind of expect it, but we are a club looking to win major trophies, we shouldn't be seeing so many ex players playing for teams that will challenge us for major titles.

It's no good looking back on what could have been but you can't help it sometimes. If we had current Salah, De Bruyne, and Lukaku with what we currently have, it's possible that we would be the best side in Europe right now.

Great wing play by Newcastle leasing to the goal. They do look weak in midfield though and are letting Utd come on to them too much.

Should have paid whatever Juve wanted for Pogba three seasons or so ago.
