July 16, 20179 yr Sorry but every time i watch him he didn`t impress me even a little. Not even close to top back Carvajal is the real deal, not Danilo. Danilo for this 2 season, could not come even close to Carvajal level, not even close. And to pay 30mln. to Danilo is idi**** as hell. He isn`t better then Moses, and to be fair Moses have perfect season. He have just 2 or 3 weak matches, but he was carrying an injury. He was great all season, don`t know why people are crying about him. He is perfect in attack and in defence and always go back to cover his position, great player at great age. Can we upgrade on him ? YES, but not with Danilo. If we wanted a upgrade, we should have gone for Walker for example. And Danilo as i said never make good impression atleast for me. And we will pay them more, then what he cost them 2 years back, while he was reserve all of the time, that is idiotic. I will be better if we give 60mln. for someone who is clearly upgrade, then giving 30, for someone who has been subs and it`s not better then the player we have in that position. You know most people think Moses is sh*t just because he was sent off in the FA cup final so they disregard all his impressive performance for us throughout the season. Lol, it's ludicrous! The good thing is I, Conte and most teams have observed throughout last season that we are more solid defensively from our RWB position because of the defensive ability of Moses and Cesar than the other side where we have Alonso and Cahill hence the reason why Conte is willing to break the bank for Sandro. Make no mistake, I want us to get a player that will be an upgrade on Moses and Alonso in this transfer window, but am yet to see a right footer apart from Valencia that can give us the same or something better than what Moses is given us defensively and offensively which means currently he is one of the best RWB in the world. So if you think he will be dropped soon from the starting lineup or Danilo will displace him, just keep on dreaming!
July 16, 20179 yr Ya'know RWB... the spot Moses occupied last season. Moses who did an outstanding job to start with but was found out and exploited toward end of the season. Arguably our weakest link. He was exploited toward end of the season? Please which of the games was that?
July 16, 20179 yr Will Moses be banned for the first game of the season? Sure. Cesar will play RWB while Rudiger takes Cesar's position

Not just towards the end mid way through, he was literally at the heart of almost every goal we conceded after our run of 13, then every team started targeting the back post, tottenham and dele Alli is a game where they did the same thing twice, he wasn't at fault alone, but he was definitely exposed, dele alli jumping up between a 5'10 and a 5'8 player uncontested, as bad as ivan was towards the end, that wouldn't have happened, that's a problem, a serious one, add in the fact he is very limited, although playing out of his skin and ultimately doing a good job for us, he isnt longterm chelsea material, good back up, sub, not the main man.

When Madrid buy him for less and now 2 years later, when he is older and was totaly reserve and not good enough for starting, they want to sell him for higher price, NO WAY IN HELL, no one will pay them that. Real Madrid lately are f**** sh** on the market. They want crazy high prices for their players, and they only sell unnecessary players and they still want insane high prices. Do I agree with the price? Dunno, probably. When a players like Kyke Walker move for £50m and Michael Keane £30m then somewhere around £30m for a player with the experience of Danilo sounds reasonable.

To be fair Walker is very good and English, he is worth 35 at least but to pull him away from a domestic rival team that have challenged for the title last 2 years, going to need a big offer, something Marina doesn't grasp but city do.
July 16, 20179 yr What made Moses good last season was the fact that 1) Teams in the Prem rarely encounter a 343 2) The unpredictability of Moses as wingback (initially) 3) Good stamina levels due to not being in the CL Moses is cut from the same cloth of Dani Alves. Mediocre winger but good wingback. I don't see how Moses is better than Danilo. Moses has been average throughout his loans and has 1 good season is all of a sudden that much better than Danilo who arguably flopped at Real. 25-30m for Danilo is fair price. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't change that at all. At the very least Danilo is a good backup. There are barely good options in the market for fullbacks but we reject one of the few available? Most fullbacks nowadays are priced at 30m anyway. The better ones will cost 40m+ Like it or not Poch found a chink in the armor last season and Mourinho found a way to neutralize Hazard. We need fullbacks that can upgrade us. And if Danilo is one of the best available at this time of the transfer window then I'd rather we buy him than no one
July 16, 20179 yr He'll be banned for the Community Shield game against Arseholes. He will be available

Slide tackles are legal and as long as you win the ball cleanly (only thing I was ever good at), you should never be penalised, but okay he could have stayed on his feet. I wouldn't be opposed to a loan move, but he was on loan last season and had his time wasted for half a year, so we need to pick a better team. I'd still rather play Kennedy at wing back than Pedro, if you think Kennedy is a bad defender, Pedro must be in another league of terrible. Two years ago Kennedy was one of the only good things about our season, kid has bags of talent, but we can't hope to see it come to fruition in 15 minute cameos. Edited July 16, 20179 yr by Floyd25
July 16, 20179 yr Stick in the championship and see how he gets on...ain't convinced myself but happy to proved wrong...
July 16, 20179 yr Danilo was awesome at Porto but seemed to lose it way a bit at Madrid but so do a few players Would be very happy with him, Moses did great last season but Danilo is defiantly an upgrade. Ridiculously good going forward but a little bit suspect defensively. I'm sure Conte can whip his defensive side of his game into shape though He can be quite unpredictable going forward as well, he's got a decent left foot so sometimes he'd cut inside and shoot which totally takes the opposition defender by surprise
July 16, 20179 yr He shouldn't have moved to Real from Porto. That was a really big step up. His confidence was shot to pieces and the fans over there is extremely fickle. He could've developed better and not have wasted 2yrs. Ofc his injuries didn't help either
July 17, 20179 yr I always thought the Community Shield counted. Oh well, Burnley it is then. Man U fans would have you believe that with all that treble talk lol
July 18, 20179 yr Some reports in Spain (Marca, Sport,...) mention an interest from Guardiola's City in Danilo. If Conte has a real interest, then the club should get the purchase done without any more delay, especially now they are offering Danilo and Morata for £80m.

July 18, 20179 yr he will sit on City's bench. Unless we were never in for him all along... imagine that although brazil's 2 main sports outlets in UOL and Globo say hes coming here. who knows Edited July 18, 20179 yr by RickUK
