Certainly not going far in the Champions League with lineup such as this and bench. I realize when everyone is healthy and back in the lineup, and add a few late signings, we will be ok but whew this looks thin.

But let's put the lineup aside for the next 2 hours and win the match, after all it is PL opening day!!

Conté is the one who didn't want Costa (or Costa didn't want us whatever the case may be).

 

They hardly dismantled it, they just haven't properly reinforced it like we'd all like it to be.

Besides Matic, who have they sold that Conte would actually play any meaningfull minutes? 

That have shown rooney scoring a screamer on his everton debut aged 16. It would be wonderful for boga or musonda to make that sort of impact. 

Disappointed morata isn't starting, he is now our star striker, we need him at his best as soon as possible. If Batshuayi has a poor game, then morata will be thrown in at the deep end away at spurs, having barely played 45 mins up top for us. 

Anyways, happy new season everybody. Im sure it will be filling with ups and downs, but despite how petty and childish some of the post will get on here throughout the year, remember we are all chelsea, and we want the best for the club. (apart from the odd opposition troll).

We have lost Costa, Terry, sold matic, our 2 best youth prospects, what I should have said is allowed the squad to be dismantled and they haven't reinforced rather assed to it by selling matic and our 2 best youth players without replacement
