I said this in the home game and I will say it again here, arsenal are a very average team.  Virtually always they fall apart against the top 4 or 5 sides so the fact we have failed to beat them twice is not good enough.

That little c**t Wilshere should have been sent off earlier in the game the referees in the league have really been shocking this year and bottled big calls.

Can’t get why people are moaning about Antonio. He picked Cesc and people complain he can’t play with one other so we play with him in a three. So people want 3 5 2 with Cesc and 3 4 3 without. He obviously thought having Cesc in the middle to try different lengths of passing rather than having two out and out wingers was the way to go. Let’s face it 3 5 2 had our right wing back crossing for the left one to score!!

I don't think there is a campaign against us, i do think the refs are really sh*t and it's easier for them get away with sh*t decisions against us compared to other teams though. If there was a campaign against us, then Hazard would never have got that penalty.

Taking off hazard when you are looking to win a game and replacing him with willian Is like taking drogba off and replacing him with Sutton or Zola off and replacing him with ambrosetti. I saw that change and was really surprised. Surely, with Norwich up next in the cup, you only take hazard off if he is either injured, knackered or you are happy with a point.

Moses was off his game for the second time in a row but picking him was not detrimental.

If we played Kante-DW-Cesc we would have won in my opinion, that or a draw with Morata missing more chances...

That being said he can't legislate for Morata's misses, if he scores 2/3 it would be 4-2 to us, if Wilshere got sent off it would be another story as well.

Simply put we are better than Arsenal in any dimension, we lost mostly cause of Morata but Conte does have to shoulder some blame.

According to Wenger was a joke of a pen so...he thinks there is a campaign against them perhaps?

I think Conte got pretty much everything right, although i confess i did have WTF going through my head when Hazard was brought off.

Let's be honest we could have and probably should have scored 5 goals against an establsihed top 4/5 team away from home. Granted they probably could have had a third but for a fantastic save by TC, and personally i thought that Ozil was excellent but i don't think we can really criticize Conte tonight.

My only slight gripe is that i would like Drinkwater to play more at the moment, especially as he has a working relationship with Kante already.

That guy is the last manager that should be complaining about decision's against his side. Somebody should remind him of the handball Sanchez got away with for Arsenal's goal in the F.A cup final.

overall we didn't have a bad Xmas return, the next few fixtures should see us grab maximum points....still think we'll end up 2nd or 3rd.

yes all true but when your striker has chances like that what do you want really...

Whilst i was concerned about the Hazard - Willian change, let's not forget that it was a worldy ball from Willian to Zappa that started the second goal.

Seriously and I am not saying this to sound smart after the fact but I believe in Batman and that he is a good finisher.  Yes his link up play is not as good as morata but it baffles me how a good manager like conte can not get more out of him.

Maybe Morata did something nasty and are not allowed to put it for awhile ;)

I love Conte but why the F... Did Bako play the whole game.

Is it to show the club we need reinforcements now!

I doubt he does not see what everyone else see.

It could have been 6-6 and at least Arsenal had the excuse of injuries, i hate to admit it but Ozil played well. Everyone knows Conte's team tactics before the game, his team selection was wrong and the win was there for the taking against a defence which was giving away chances all game.

Cesc should have stayed on, his passing was great and the substitutions was defensive to hold out for the draw. Baka should have been left at home from the start.

I don't usually defend Willian, but his ball for Zappa led to our second goal !!! I won't blame Conte for the subs, I'd actually praise him for the subs he made! but I may blame him and the team's attitude to just sit deep as soon as we scored the second ! Also, I don't comprehend how Morata was not subbed off after having missed so many sitters... granted he scored a good amount of goals for us so far, but against arsenal he seems to massively struggle for whatever reason  (see the community shield game for instance )! But again, the guy has scored decisive goals too (manure, atm...) but tends to miss sitters when he has to score with his feet though :-/

After what i saw today, enough is enough. Let's not be delusional and just accept the fact that Alvaro Morata is a horrible finisher. This wasn't the first time and this certainly wont be his last.

Fabregas should've played his role in Center Midfield. I hate what Conte did when he put Cesc in Pedro's position. f**k experimenting especially in big matches. Conte needs to go back to the drawing board and rethink his strategy.

Morata is arguably the best header in the Premier League this season but scoring with your head isn't exactly a specialty or a unique trait. Any bloke can do that.

Despite our 5-0 victory against Stoke last week, it was embarrassing enough Morata wasn't even on the score sheet with all the chances he had. That match should've been 8-0.

History will keep repeating itself and i won't be surprised. We need a new striker very badly during the January Transfer.

 

 

Shoulda won. Morata gotta take a long hard look in the mirrior. With a proper striker we woulda buried that game. Oh Diego were art thou. * Sigh *
