Morata falling over with the slightest touch has unfortunately highlighted the fact that he is light weight and can't cope with the physical side of the EPL.....or he's just a wimp and needs to grow some.

Roma seem willing to sell but can't help but feel Liverpool or United may gazump us.

We should gazump the Sanchez deal, just for fun. It would be the Gazump of the century. But no way Liverpool need another striker, same for United.

I'm not convinced personally. I still think Liverpool are short of a 'proper #9', Firmino is quality but he isn't really a Lewandowski type CF to play against packed defences, and if the rumours are to be believed they've offered Sturridge to Roma.

United may want him to replace Ibra.

if we give batshuayi to dortmund, it means auba the other way. hmm, not sure we should help arsenal haha. 

i wonder what deal it would be. dzeko is nearly 32, will slow down soon (maybe) so maybe 1-2 years? i can't see it being a long contract. i am thinking maybe we'll send abraham on one more loan to see how he develops, then decide if we bring him back after that.

Strongly Agree. Watch Dzeko become our main strker as Morata gets benched on a weekly basis lol.

Won't work that way. He will still earn around 300k I think with a huge sign on bonus to ensure he stays within the club wage structure. He is entitled to the huge sign on due to the comparatively cheap transfer fees.

Looks like this will be done by next week, f*cking brilliant deal. We get a great striker who’s good enough to displace Morata, and we also get a left back who has the potential to be as good as Ashley Cole. Happy days!

Just highlights how dumb they are. We have problem paying £30m for dzeko, but now we are looking at arnautovic who cost West ham £30m 6 months ago, and will likely cost even more now! 

Must be an easy job as a sports journalist.

How old is Arnatovic though? Sky are implying that it’s the money for a player of Dzeko’s age.

29 in a couple of months. about 3 years between them, except one has scored over 50 goals on the last 18 months, and the other has scored under 50 in the whole of the last 9 years. 

wouldn't pay 50m Euros for him tbh, as much as I think he'd be a good backup. Reason being, our budget is so tight these days, so I'd rather save that money to contribute towards a better, more expensive player to add proper quality to the first 11...even if it means waiting to the Summer.
