I think that's the worse part of this whole nightmare, is listening to those twats droning on about special nights at Anfield.

Credit where its due, they were very good tonight and deserved to go through. But the arse licking of this team that's gone on this season will only intensify over the next few weeks. f**ks sake if they were that great a team they wouldn't have been 3 nil down in the first place, and it should have been worse.

If spurs pull something similar off tomorrow night... I don't even want to think about it

As far as I'm concerned it is now officially summer and I switch my attention to festivals and music and don't admit I am a football fan at all.  Champions League, oh is that some sort of Rugby cup or something?

I definitely, definitely, definitely , definitely, will not be watching that game?

Luckily I am out at a music gig that night.  Phew!

I'm edging towards a Spurs win being the least bad outcome as:

1) Liverpool winning anything ever is a horrible prospect.

2) Arsenal being the only big London club without a CL win is quite funny.

That match was cringeworthy to watch,  to see the aJax keeper take out his own defender from clearing the ball to enable spuds to score their second goal, and then to see Ajax hit the post, I just knew spuds would score in the last minute.  Ajax’s inexperience really showed it’s ugly head in the second half.

You can look at it in loads of ways like we would remain the only club in London to win it.

But practically it would be better is Spuds won, if it's true that Pochettino leaves if they do, it will just be a one off success and they can return to dirt.
Liverpool however can build on it, if they become European champions they will be attractive to top players

I think the ban helps us. Our best youth and loans need to be given a chance.

I seriously doubt that but hope you are right. It pains me that we didn't build foundations like City did when they got their money that is now paying off for them. We have had some success, but it has been very chaotic.

The only way to make up for this shambles is for us to win this competition next season.

Spurs 1 UCL? Ok but we have 2.

This is a good compromise. Come on football gods.

Are you guys for real!

Tottenham winning the CL is a better outcome? What the f*ck!!! We have only won 1 champions league, they win then they’ll have matched our record. F*ck that!

I hate Arsenal and Tottenham more than any other clubs, f*ck them.

Well I found a silver lining yesterday. Suarez and co getting humiliated.

Today well, it is a stretch but Lucas Moura left PSG as they deemed him not good enough to help their cause towards a CL win so they broke the World record for Neymar. They still cocked up a lead against United and Moura is playing A CL final and they still have not.

All that money and just French titles to show for it lol!

We’re not going to see Chelsea reach 6 or more champions league trophies, not in our lifetime anyway.

I’d like us to remain the only London club with a champions league trophy. If you consider how many clubs there are in London that’s f*cking impressive.

Why not ^ we were unlucky not to win the CL before 2012 so many semis and finals. good team and manager is all you need and luck

Call me crazy for revisiting the crime, but bt are showing highlights and I wanted to see how on earth ajax were caught out so badly with the late winner.

Unbelievably after llorente headed what looked like the last chance Over the bar, the Ajax keeper takes a gk with 94.38 on the clock and there are five players, yes five Ajax players in the Tottenham half as the ball lands. Mental.

The ball ricochets back and forth a couple of times between both teams before being launched high and Spurs have been gifted a 5v5 situation..when it bounces off llorente to alli, it's effectively 2v2 and he plays in Moura to finish. Naive and criminal from Ajax - a classic example of how not to close out a football game.

Think this will be the first CL final in a long time I can't bring myself to watch - hope Liverpool do it though.

Hopefully tonight's result at least bodes well for the Nations League, which i'm sure we'll all be desperately looking forward to after a month-long w**k fest over whoever wins in Madrid.
