Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue

Your hate for Jorginho is ridiculous. The man played through injury for about half the season so we could even put a midfield on the pitch and here you (and some others) are pissing all over him because we see the consequences of that now. Shame on you and shame on all the other idiots that do so.

Clearly Vieira thought he played OK as he said the following:

"Jorginho getting on the ball more in the 2nd half was key to Chelsea’s victory"

But hey, what does a Premier League manager and former top class player know compared to some of the fools on theshedend.

Yes, his time is probably up and he's never been the ideal defensive midfielder for the Premiership but i'll be damned if he hasn't earned more respect than he's got from some. And if he does leave this summer he can leave with his head held very high knowing he was a key part in us winning the Champions League, the SuperCup and Europa League in his time at the club.

Did Viera really say that?

Yes.

That’s a huge statement coming from Viera.

I guess he means that if the first goal doesn’t happen where Jorginho played a key pass through the lines, maybe then the second goal doesn’t happen afterwards either.

That key pass i really reaching lmao. Zapi, Havertz, the Palace defender and RLC all had more impact on the goal. Jorginho literally made a simple 10 yard pass into space lmao.

I take the opinion of Viera that played as a DM in the PL over someone like you that actually doesn’t even know what 5 yards in football is let alone 10

Premier league manager tries to take away blame from their own players, imagine my shock. Strange how we're happy to not offer Jorginho another contract and let him go back to Italy in Summer, isn't it? Not to mention Tuchel and our own players literally screaming at him during the game for being sh*t. All Viera's comment has proven is that for Jorginho to put in an average performance he needs acres of space, every time he is pressured you see the blood drain from the man's face and panic set in. It's honestly mental that Mikel used to get stick while at Chelsea, yet Jorginho is praised, even though Mikel is 10x better than Jorginho has ever been in the same role. Jorginho is just the popular football hipsters choice to look edgy.

P.S. i'd put money on i've played at much higher level than you, so don't start with that bollocks.

Anyone who claims that as a "key pass" is a moron.

That's your take? He took away the blame from his own players by choosing to say that Crystal Palace gave Jorginho too much time to make decisions in the second half?

I suggest that you first learn how far 5 yards from the goal is, then 10 yards and so on... You're too far away right now in order to try to get into a PL manager's head.

Shame all these top class footballers are idiots and can't see how poor Jorginho really is.

Can’t believe Jorginho made our midfield so sh*t and slow last night 🙄

So about 2 weeks ago Crystal Palace beats Arsenal 3:0, afterwards we beat Palace in the FA Cup with a clean sheet with Jorginho... Then we rest Jorginho against Arsenal and they run over us. Looks like our biggest defeats this season came when Jorginho wasn't playing doesn't it?

Arsenal and Brentford scored 4 against us when Jorginho wasn't in the lineup at all, sounds like a small pattern, clearly Jorginho didn't do a good job protecting the defense not even from the bench!

Edited by Gol15

This the same Jorginho that struggled against Plymouth and Luton with us only just getting a win against teams in lower divisions?

Lets not forget, some of our teams best performances (6-0 against Southampton, second leg against Real Madrid after getting terrorised with Jorginho in the team first leg) came without Jorginho in the starting 11. Easy to pick and choose games. Fact is, Tuchel doesn't think Jorginho is good enough for Chelsea, hence why he can leave in summer. At least when he goes you boys can follow him on to your next team x

He played in a winning league sequence of 5 PL matches from 19th Feb to 13 Mar

Good shout strider. Bounder Friardale is exactly the type of all action midfield dynamo we should be looking at bringing in to replace a slow and aging Jorginho.

When the slow and aging Jorginho wasn't there we conceded 4 goals twice this season. Nobody beat us as hard as when that slow and aging Jorginho wasn't playing, oops!

The most polarizing player I have seen in Chelsea shirt.

You will never see a wc player being considered as average or vice versa but that is the case with jorgi.

Just saw a clip of Klopp being asked if Thiago (a similar type of player and one getting similar stick to Jorgi) slows their play down and he burst out laughing.

West Bromwich Albion put 5 past us when Jorginho was playing Gol.

4 actually😉

My main issue with this whole discussion is we’re getting into specific games now, there’s times when we’ve shipped goals when he’s played and shipped goals when he hasn’t. Isn’t this kind of proving my point that Jorginho isn’t the main issue with our team like some are trying to make out?

Ah, yes he got taken off after 75 minutes so wasn't there for the last goal. First time a team had put 5 past us in home game since 2011.

If you watch the match highlights below look who gives the ball away on both the occaisions leading to Silva's yellow cards? Look at the very first second of the clip and again on 34 seconds. Isnt that you know who?

Yeah Jorginho had a crap game that day and cost us. And he's had other games where he's been completely sh*te as well.

Have anyone disputed that? I think most of these so called "Jorginho-lovers" are nuanced enough to agree with that.

If anything it's you and some others that completely lack nuance and get completely overfocused on Jorginho's flaws and never want to give him credit for his good qualities. He's for example got the most interceptions, tackles, blocks and big chances created (alongside Kovacic) than any of our midfielders. Surely you can forgive some for thinking the people that continue with this "Jorginho is sh*t" nonense are a bit idiotic?
