    It's really not a surprise. 9 out of 10 players we sign either end up on the regularly injured list or constantly regress season after season and we we ultimately sell them for peanuts. And then suddenly they start shining and we are left scratching our heads as to why they couldn't regularly play so well for us. It's a recurring pattern and it seems - 

    1) We sign players who don't fit the way we want to play.

    2) We don't play to the strengths of the players we sign.

    The ironic thing about them spinning the narrative of him outperforming our £100m midfielders is the main reason he's playing so much is because their own £100m midfielder needs his hand held in buildup play.
