The actual picture that should be used to sum up his time with us.

Wonderful servant to the club. Booed at the Bridge to start his career at the club only to work even harder for the club instead of turning into a whiny bastard like many others would. Turned it all around and won some of the biggest honours before moving on. Wants to come back to the club in some capacity after his career is over and I very much hope that happens. Many should be ashamed by some of the words they've called him over the years but I suspect they won't be thick as they are.

Thanks Jorginho.

Actually well said.

Although i am not so two faced to not admit that i often found him frustrating when slowing the tempo and have offered the odd expletive at the telly upon ocassion there is no getting away fromt he fact  that he has been a good servant for the club and him and his family have been Chels ever since he got here. I remember pictures of his mum in the Megastore early on. He also looks sh*t in red.

Just a shame that we couldn't have thrown in Agent Baka as a B.O.G.O.F in the deal.

It was about the right time to upgrade that position but he did a good job for us, helped us win trophies and always gave 100%, so for that I’ll look back on his time with us and think we’ll done Jorginho.

Good business for us but sticks in my throat a bit he’s gone to those whiny so and so’s.

I don’t want him to have a miserable experience at Woolwich Arsenal but I can’t go as far as wishing him good luck professionally either.

Good luck in everything else though Jorginho.

My post was tongue in cheek....asking whats the point, about a post with Jorgi pointing 20 times...... ah forget it! Tough crowd! 😉

Might I suggest in future you use @Gem's irony emoji for the thickos among us.  :irony:

Happy he's gone...

zero creativity, zero defensive ability, still to this day have no idea what he has brought to the club in his time with us. really glad we got 15 million and his liabilities are now the gooners problems.

Having said that, I accept he was a real pro and helped us win the big one again so absolutely deserves a round of applause when he returns and wish him well.

You've no idea what he brought to the club, then go on to say he helped us win the Champions League lol.

I think Kante also helped us win the Champions league and did so carrying Jorginho, I can tell you what Kante brings to the club... Work ethic of three players, say as I do rather than point mentality, league titles, putting his body on the line, more craft and goals in the final 3rd and dynamism in our midfield we lack when he's not there. (All things Jorginho was unable to display at any point during his time with us)

Harsh but fair and the presenter from taskmaster managing us agrees. You don't sell your best players in January to league leaders... That's where I'm at. His move weakens them/ strengthens us.

Replace Jorginho with Bakayoko or Drinkwater or even someone great for us like Matic and do you think we're passing Real Madrid off the pitch?

Every member of the first choice lineup in that run brought something to the table that couldn't be replicated, the one that actually did have a substitute of high quality was Silva which thankfully proved the case in the final.

Sorry, I think he was mostly absolutely rubbish for us. I'm not changing my opinion. Kante won us the final, Jorginho was a passenger and has been carried by Kante while at the club. It's now arteta's problem on how best protect Jorginho to get the best out of him and that is an issue we no longer have to deal with because we have better players who do more in our squad.

Okay so to clarify, in your opinion we'd have still passed Real Madrid out of Stamford Bridge if it was Drinkwater playing that match instead?

Technically you can do it if you're about to set a transfer record signing, which is what we just did. Enzo became the biggest transfer in PL history, without that you couldn't say that we were strengthened by Jorginho leaving at all. I'm picky I know.

Just clarify, is this debate now so skewed that the benchmark for a good midfielder is now set at "better than Danny Drinkwater"? 😂

What has Drinkwater got to do with my thoughts on Jorginho being carried by Kante for the duration of his CFC career?

Correct me if I'm wrong, Kante won MOM in both semi finals and the final? I think we wouldn't have won the semi against Madrid without Kante.

Got to wait and see with that. we signed Torres in January as a British transfer record, didnt turn out too well for us.

My point is that we weren't strengthened by the departure of Jorginho, but due to the arrival of Enzo.

Agent Jorgi will serve us well at Le Arse..

Nice lad.. not his biggest fan but he had great moments.. some matches he was just brilliant. Spent 4 years at the bridge.. won big ears.. all the best<not at arsenal> Jorgi!
