The remainder of the season feels like an entire new season to me (but to be honest without the excitement and anticipation), so yeah, it's all open for now.

Depends on where you would put Kova in your personal ranking. Still just an average dribbling merchant? Then yes, it is wrong.
June 17, 20206 yr I don't even remember half of our season anymore. I need to watch the season in review, if I'm being honest. As @Valerie said, this seems like an entirely new season. Part 2 of 2 lol. I'm so glad to have football back.

He is number 2 on my present list. Should he deliver us the FA Cup and 4th place, then my POTY vote will be for him.

I don't have a personal ranking. But just thinking that Tammy was better is wrong, or anyone else for that matter. At least that's how it has been this season, whoever dares to say that someone is better than Kovacic is simply wrong.

Like I get it you're saying that it's Tammy's fault that we're not around Man City, but it's still him and nobody else that could have stepped up even more and he's only 22 years old in his first season here Do you want to take that same road for any other player, or is this comment only made because I said that for me Tammy is the player of the year and not Kova?

You didn't answer my question at all and more or less responded to your own post instead of mine though. Those are some serious moves, lol.

Those are some serious moves, lol. More than enough that I think that Tammy should be the player of the year for someone to call me out for it For me it's pretty obvious that the best player this season has been Tammy, well the most important player as I have seen how we looked with him and how we looked without him and for the most part it was night and day. Who has the most MotM awards? Who scored the most goals? Do I really need to put up a top 5 list when I already openly suggest the first place, isn't that what matters? I mean I don't care about who would get a silver medal for this award...
June 18, 20206 yr You could also make the argument that without Kovacic we wouldn't be in the top 4... Obviously you can just check the stats and see a narrow view of it, but if you watched him play you would also see the contributions he's made to the way we play and a lot of our goals, where he was the catalyst. Problem with you Gol is that you have this irrational hatred towards Kovacic that you feel as if you have to downplay everything he does. Now you've latched on to the idea that Tammy is getting unfair criticism, when you're the one who brought him up in the first place. Abraham has been fantastic this season, I'm really proud of him, but there's a reason why many Chelsea fans are praising Kovacic. You've yet to realise that you're in the minority here, and you're in it for a good reason. If anyone hates a Chelsea player on this forum, it's you, nobody else.

Well you can also switch that and say there were large amounts throughout this season where fans did not miss Kante, because Jorginho and Kovacic were playing so well together and his impact on the team has been massive this season. I think Tammy has done brilliantly well and overachieved this season. However, my POTY will be Kovacic. Think he has stepped up his game to another level this season.
June 18, 20206 yr I don't know what you are all on about. Ruben is definitely going to win POTY. But in all seriousness. Kovacic has been our most consistent player this year. I think he is miles ahead of any other contender.
June 18, 20206 yr Big fan of kova. Only knock on him is that he tends to run out of steam after say 70 minutes. When everyone is fit we have some great midfield options and I include Barkley in that. I th9nk the best three depends on chemistry between them as a unit as much as on individual skills. As much as I think gilmour is going to be a star if they clicked my three would be kante, kova and RLC. put them with Zytec Werner and Abraham and it’s fantasy football, on paper.

I'm not gonna lie though, it's funny that you refuse to answer the question wether you still consider Kova an average player and dribbling merchant and how hard you're trying to make it about Tammy instead.

Ah when I wrote this I forgot about Jorginho who has had an excellent partnership with Kovacic. So Frank can choose 3 from Kova, Kante, Jorginho, Barkely, RLC, Gilmour and I might include Mason Mount in this group as Mount is not a winger nor a striker but more of a number 10. Its quite the list...

Or do goals and MOTM only matter when a player is rivaling Kovacic?
