There is no longer extra time in the semis starting this season. So the game would go straight to penalties if still level. Not sure about away goals though.

Up till this point this competition was rather irrelevant to me but now with this draw...bring it on.

Thought we played pretty well, in terms of creating, managing possession and defence. We should have won by a couple at least, their Gk had the game of his career. We didn't go to sleep like in the last few games, and didn't allow them clear chances. Hazard made the difference again, it's almost temping to play him off the bench during the busy new year period, he's unplayable against tired defenders, and they don't get many chance to kick Hazard off the field. Striker is still the huge concern, Giroud was ok, got a couple of shots on goal, but was hopeless running onto through balls. RLC should get a start on the weekend, we need a midfielder to run at defence and shoot.

We played fairly well, made chances and their keeper had a good game. As said, Eden Hazard makes some difference to us. A clean sheet too.

Can't really complain.

Happy with the draw. Call me a coward (okay, okay!) but in the unlikely event of losing the final if we get there, I'd much prefer it to be to City than encouraging more Spud DVDs.

 

 

I only managed to catch the highlights on the sky app for this as I’ve been busy moving house.

 

RLC looks like he played terrifically well, his one to with Azpi and little shimmy to then hit the post was Hazard-esque.

 

The ball to put Willian through was brilliant as well.

 

hazard looked like he was really on form from the video as well.

 

boruc pulled off some wonderful saves to keep it to only a 1-0 defeat, still not sure how he saved Girouds late on.
