As for Sarri "over running the club", I think that's a very strange way to look at it!

Obviously Sarri is going to prioritise this season over future seasons. He would be mad not to as Chelsea Manager. No other Manager would be any different.

But as it's a 6 month loan deal, I don't really see how that will have a negative effect over any potential targets in the summer.

And this is exactly the problem at this club! Managers come here and get 0 leniencies. There's a reason why we are one of the most bipolar football clubs in the Premier League, what sort of team wins the league then finishes outside the top 4 in 4 consecutive seasons?

I don't need 5 years from Higuain, just a nice stretch of 10-12 games... I'd LOVE to have Higuain duplicate Morata's start. He's a short term fix to a long term problem. 

Look he must be good to have been picked to play with Messi, he picked up a few skills no Doubt, as well as playing with the 'Citeh' boy, and Tevez, not to shabby co trainers

Throw in Dybala, Di Maria and Lavezzi too...

The first goal shows you don’t have to move far to create a chance, but knowing where to go is so important 

This is a very important all throughout the match I watched his movement and he was constantly in bag's of space but we sometimes weren't seeing him and moving the ball quickly

Do you think regardless of how he does in this second half of the season, Higuain will be used as a something of a stop gap.

 

Or even at 31/32 next season there is scope for a permanent move. Does he get say 8-10 league goals and a thanks for your efforts before we opt for someone a bit younger?

He put in a good shift yesterday and was by far our best player (I know he didn't have much competition). Seems like a fighter, which is nice after Morata.

Agreed, he still managed to do well with the little that he could actually do.

So i watched Giroud last Thursday, i watched Palace on Sunday watching Michy and then Higuain for us tonight. I knew Giroud was slow but i didn't realise Michy was that slow too, Higuain look slow tonight. How the hell have we managed to have 3 of the slowest strikers in the premier league at the same time?.

Yes I think Higuaín is slow, I was hoping for some Sarri magic tactically in how Higuaín was going to score goals for us.

It may be academic if Sarri walks the plank yet it looks like we have another pedestrian striker, saying that still better than Bats for me.

He looks so leggy, got no pace whatsoever.

If you’d turned that match on yesterday in extra time you’d have thought he’d played the full 120 minutes by the way he was plodding about.

No idea why he’s not taking a penalty? He’s a striker, he’s one of the first players I would expect to step up.

The top quality strikers shoulder that burden, they don’t hide and leave it up to the defenders to take them.

Yeah I was surprised to see it once, at the World or Euro Cup and will come back on that as recall it was surprising.

Correct decision not to play him, he'd be out of the game with no services and we'd be like playing with 10. I said before, he's a good finisher, but unless he's a yard faster or more alert, he's not going to get on the end of anything to test his finishing skills. His problem is exactly the opposite to Morata.

Bottled taking a pen, I see.

These are some I think that do not take (or took)  penalties:

Luis Suarez
Patrick Kluivert
Rudi Voeller

It's hard to be sure as they don't shout about it.

 

 

Not exactly an extensive list of top quality strikers to sherk the responsibility of taking penalties is it.
