But then in that case, didn’t Todd declare the illicit payments under Roman when all the books were done? If so, they should be paying him or at least offer a few beers and a free spa treatment for the heads up!

Todd and his chums may get a pat on the head, only to be slapped by a big fine later. Perhaps it would be an even bigger fine (or worse) if they hadn't reported it.

Well, it sounds like a witch-hunt. Almost like they didn’t like that the club got sorted out and settled after, so they are just using stuff to beat them with again.

Or the bigwigs need the cash for a few nice trips. My dentist is always looking for treatments come the summer months as well

The entity is punishable regardless of ownership. CFC is the entity. Otherwise clubs could just change ownership on paper and avoid sanctions.

I suspect a fine, possibly even suspended.

Not a great week ahead of PL opener, and stepping back its been a really difficult 18 months for fans.  Better days ahead as we sort this out and stabilize the team.

If we don't get a big fine, then when City (or any other club) get done for something similar, they'll justifiably point out any discrepancy.

Someone correct me?

There was some dodgy payments found under Roman later after all club and assets seized. The club got sold to new owners. Now, the club and new owners are getting punished for it? How does that work?

Its like someone buying a second hand car then getting fined speeding tickets caused by the last owner years later, just cause they own that car now?

What gives?

If we could get around this by selling then every club would be cooking the books and then simply transfer ownership.

But the new owners under normal practices would have done their due diligence on the prior ownerships' books and would've brought up these discrepancies during the acquisition process.

I can't imagine any of the financial discrepancies trace to something dodgy that UEFA couldn't find. It'll be a fine and we move on.

The reporter from The Times who scares the sh*t out of me every time he is on the radio is saying that EUFA could only investigate 2 years but the PL are looking at a much longer period.

Also its very hard to discover this, City's emails were hacked  otherwise it probably would have been impossible to prove

And as we have told the authorities about our stuff , as a reward we will not be barred from ever playing again

Due to the rushed nature of the sale, no buyer could do proper due dilligence. Hence £100 million held back to cover any eventualities that emerged.

With Roman writing off £1.5 billion in loans, it is obviuos that, many things would crop up. The dodgiest player in the whole process, is our Government, who forced the sale, nearly ruined the club, with the botched way it was done, and still hold onto the money, even now.

It’s probably been forgotten by many but before the sale was completed Bohley and his partners made application to retain £100 million from the sale proceeds to cover liabilities and obligations that had been uncovered during DD

Believe me that most clubs at almost every level have skeletons and there is a requirement to disclose them if the club itself uncovered them.

Think of it this way first UEFA and almost certainly the PL will draw a line in the sand when it comes to matters financial and and fines won’t have  be found from club income

Yes, UEFA have a statute of limitations, hence Man City were off the hook over some matters. The PL doesn't have a statute of limitations.

Just read a Leicester forum stating they are disappointed that Casadei isn't a loan with buy obligation and would rather not have him to begin with if he isn't in their plans permanently. Daft.

Think the bigger picture here is that it is almost in every club's best interest to establish a good relationship with us in the long term, given the way we are now operating. We have some of the best scouts in the world, and have feeder clubs to send these young talented players to develop properly. Not all of them will make it to our first team, so in 2-4 years time if Leicester have a chance of having first dibs in buying say Angelo or Ugochkuwu for example, it will be in their best interest to be on good terms with us.

Puts them front of the queue if we decide to sell (if they get promoted)

Like Burnley with Maatsen who I think are going to really regret not signing him for 20m.
