I am in the VFX industry and with actors/writers on strike it pretty much puts every discipline in the film industry on hold for now. Still have work but it will dry up very soon.

I'm a writer but with no US connection, thank goodness. Currently working on a children's book. Hence the amount of time I spend on this forum. Research.

Vivell has left his role as technical director. Only been here since December. 

Not sure what to make of it, probably too many cooks. 

Been a good window for outgoings, but I'm worried about the Caicedo deal and how long it is taking us. We seemed to be more efficient in January.

So I thought the recruitment was being handled by Winstanley and Stewart. Was Vivell meant to be involved in recruitment as well? What about Joe Shields? Christ they're everywhere.

Seen some comments that maybe his influence and opinions have fallen down the pecking order with Stewart and Winstantly. Dog eat dog in the board room eh..

Thank you for that, as it does clarify the hierarchy. I am still none the wiser as to what a Technical Director actually does. I mean, driving the coach has technical elements to it. Its funny also that the co-director of Recruitment has been hardly heard of this summer so far. Also I am not sure who Shields is co-director with.

I am assuming, probably incorreclty, that this change is possibly as a result of Pochettino bringing in someone from his own team capabale to doing the "techinical" role

Seems like his role is now redundant. Poached him off RB for no reason then.

Presumably they are the ones buying up all the kids at 20m a pop. If Vivell was responsible for Nkunku then that is a bit worrying as none of these others have shown any ability to sign marquee players as yet.
