August 8, 20232 yr Is this in addition to the questionable Abramovich accounting that the new owners brought to the PL's attention? Or the same issue? Edited August 8, 20232 yr by dermott

On "we are Tottenham" YouTube channel a Chelsea fan on the wind up said the insider trading charges against the owner should lead to sanctions and the club sold off as happened to Chelsea. Spurs fan....at least he didn't invade Ukraine. Chelsea......and. neither did Abramovich !! I still can't believe what was done to our club, I can't think about it without getting f**king pissed off !
August 8, 20232 yr f**king hell they're saying that this should worry every Chelsea fan. ( The dodgy payments under RA) Well, Andy Goldstein said it , so perhaps it's ok. You just know if they could f**k us over they will , and if they can link it to Putin and Ukraine they definitely will f**k us over

Don't be shocked by a points deduction either. We're already guilty, we admitted it UEFA already and got fined for it. It's different to City because they are claiming they are 100% innocent. We have already admitted guilt, so things will happen very quickly after they finish their investigation.

August 8, 20232 yr If it is a points deduction then the silver lining is at least it will be in another meaningless season not per say if we were nailed on top 4 and contenders when every point counts, although the flip side is if we have a season like last year any deduction could get us all a bit nervy come May

Although the Premier League will be under pressure by other clubs and the media to go in hard on us. And with us being responsible for funding the war in Ukraine, in their eyes anyway, we’ll probably get a bigger punishment than Man City.

So is there something else now going on ? Seeing as Todd brought it to the attention of the regulator hopefully we won't have too much to worry about. Always something with us isn't there, what an amazing club we support!👍👍👍

They could be much harsher than UEFA have been.

August 8, 20232 yr RA is rightly held in high esteem by Chelsea fans. He saved the club and put us on the path to trophies. I’ll tell you what though. Everyone should be worried by the Premier League investigation. I reckon a points deduction and a big fine are in the post. Our current owners have rightly flagged a number of issues primarily relating to payments to off shore companies. sh*t isn’t looking good that’s for sure. The Andreas Christenson situation is also under investigation. We hired his old man as a scout on the day we signed his son apparently and then paid him £650,000 over 4 years even though he was Brondby keeper coach all that time. Apologies if this has been talked about before and it’s old news but putting aside £100 million to cover possible fines would suggest the owners won’t be able to defend much from the investigation.
August 8, 20232 yr 2 minutes ago, Sconnie Blue said: It’ll likely just be a fine much like the UEFA investigation. You’re probably right tbh although the timing of this coming out I’m suspicious about.
August 8, 20232 yr 7 minutes ago, 2211 said: You’re probably right tbh although the timing of this coming out I’m suspicious about. I mean it coincides with UEFA’s investigation. People need to remember when someone acquires a club it takes several months, sometimes years for it to finally be materialized and the premier league to authorize it. We were sanctioned, assets frozen, couldn’t earn any revenue and were forced to sell the club. The entire acquisition took 3 months, far quicker than any acquisition, and people are upset there was missing financial information/unpaid liabilities during the process? This is what a Chelsea spokesperson said on the matter. “It is not unusual in these types of transactions, particularly deals completed in an accelerated timeframe, to withhold an amount related to any unforeseen liabilities that may arise from transactions that occurred prior to the sale.” Edited August 8, 20232 yr by Sconnie Blue
