All the new signings, or rather attention, will put a bit of a marker on our back.  Poch needs to prep the players that away games will be quite tough as crowds and teams rally on a common cause.  Keep working hard and let the quality take care of the rest.

The " loophole" has been there for a long time. There's a very good reason why no one else wants to take advantage of it and give extra  long  contracts to players.

Chilwell is the only pre Boehly transfer we will have on our books in 12 months time. Kepa, Lukaku, Ziyech all gone. Boehly has literally bought the entire squad.

The current squad we have, plus Olise, Lavia, nets out to a transfer cost of about E160-170m per year. We spent E950m on them all. But that number is irrelevant!

If we then spend a further E300m on wages, that means we need a consistent revenue approaching E500m to be break even with FFP. (Which we should have) 

I've not accounted for players on loan, in my mind those by and large net out to be about break even. I don't believe we are making transfer losses on Angelo or Washington who will be loaned to Strasbourg.

We are though trapped with these players to an extent and we shouldn't expect future splurges.

Our squad transfer cost is going to be about 160m per year. 

Liverpool would have been 110m if they had signed Caicedo. 

We need to generate 50m per year in either revenue or transfer profits to be level with Liverpool.

So let me get this straight we've just pulled a Madrid and now have our midfield set for the next decade with Enzo, Lavia, Caicedo, Santos, Lesley & hopefully Gallagher. Everyone else is playing chess whilst Todd and Co are playing monopoly. Gave them fair criticism throughout the past year, but where credit is due they deserve it. 

We're cooking something special with Pochettino!

Plus Olise release clause this signals the return of "Chelsea is ruining football" from rival fans and I will love every second of it.

My feelings exactly, Todd tried being nice and even suggested that the EPL have an all star match with proceeds possibly filtering down to lower league clubs.

But this was ridiculed by Gary Neville and the media, so at least he has learnt quickly that everyone hates us regardless and we shouldn't do anything to please other people ever.

If our business is as shrewd as I think it is we may not need to spend a lot for years to come. We've already got high-potential youngsters in key areas that if things click we're laughing. Todds strategy will have well and truly paid off. 

Next season we will probably be looking to get a GK.

If I have one criticism this window, It would be the GK situation. I don't understand why we let Mendy & Kepa leave, then bring in Sanchez. No offence to the guy, but Mendy and Kepa were solid enough. 

We're buying players from Southampton, Palace and Brighton to make Chelsea a force to be reckoned with.

I'm hoping it works , and I'm well pleased after Sunday , but let's see .

We will have a very very long time with these players , they will be on first name terms with the fans eventually 

I won't be too smug but I bet the ones in here that claimed that our new owners are basically like the Glazers are feeling pretty stupid.

I hope it works, but youngsters with potential on long contracts is a gamble, our Academy is full of youngsters with potential but not on long contracts., it's a new direction that could well work . Fingers crossed

Totally fair point, and to me there is a stigma against American owners and not understanding the game.  Always defended them, although was frustrated a week ago with Caicedo, but now we can see the longer term plan in action.

The club was decimated by the sanctions, and last summers activity was reactionary at best.  Also pretty misguided unfortunately by Tuchel, although to his defense he didn't want any part of transfers.  But, since Jan, you have to say the owners have got it right (mostly).  The profile of player is beyond consistent, and the potential is as good as I can remember. 

It will take time to all come together.  Following the sale, always felt like a 3 year restructuring on and off the pitch was underway to make us competitive.  At the start of year 2, things are looking very promising.  So much to be positive about at the club.
