BlueCo buy Chelsea FC

This is from a clickbait site so I won't link it, however it appears to be true.

As per a Companies House submission on Sunday (13 October), Chelsea's parent holding company 22 Holdco Limited has issued 19 million shares. The issuance was split between 12.5 million Class A ordinary shares and 6.5 million Class B ordinary shares.

Anyway, what's happened to the "civil war " between the owners that was tearing the club apart a few weeks ago?

We need Didier Drogba back to sort out a civil war.

Do you know what the implications of this are ? ( I'm clueless about this sort of stuff!)

Pumps money into the club but lowers the value of each individual share?

Me too to be honest, as a leftie I therefore consider money to be basically unethical. Ask @SydneyChelsea, the forum's resident expert on legal issues, physiotherapy and apparently sound engineering.

😂..but I thought that owners are not allowed to pump money into clubs anymore? Dunno anymore.

As for money, debt, fiat currency etc, ..Richard J Murphy's YouTube channel is the one, and anything on MMT ( modern monetery theory) is worth a look too .👍

Info

I remember reading clearlake have class A and bohelys crew have class B, but there were several caveats like equal voting rights for certain aspects of the company, bohely can chair (currently is chair) stuff like that.

The standard difference is below and you can see some of the caveats (i.e. equal voting rights in rgds to cfc) but tbh I don't know every one of them. Just the few I read about in the articles.

I don't know if the actual share structure for them is public but would be interesting to see a full list of the differences between the class A and class B shares at cfc are, especially the caveats involved.

Edit* sry won't let me post the link. But use Google and it will show the difference. Sry.

I know United have A and B shares.

One share group has more votes allocated per share than the other. It was a big thing when Ratcliffe bought his portion of shares

Net 200mil ish...not bad for a FULL overhaul. According to the plan, next year we should be challenging for top spot. I can see that happening (still need a few tweaks though).

One is because of my job, one is because I am both chronically injured and skeptical of medical information on the internet, and one is my side gig - I'll let you decide which one is which!

Sry bud, I missed this.

Yeah one of the things in the standard difference between shares class A and B is voting rights (and a few other things), but cfc have added tons of caveats/allowances. So in rgds to voting rights for CFC class A and B (in our case) its the same for both classes.

We can see the standard differences online using Google but companies can add these caveats as they wish. Unfortunately I'm not sure if these caveats are public or only available to potential and current share holders.

In our case (CFC), we can't have any new share holders (part of the sale) but our current shareholders can buy or sell shares between them. So I don't see why they would make them public or have the need to, unless they have to legally.

I'll guess that you are a legal expert because you are a big fan of nuisance lawsuits against companies on whose premises you keep getting injured? Then you set up a music bar with your winnings?

Just taking a minute to congratulate Todd on his LA Dodgers winning the World Series last night. What an owner!

Great win by the Dodgers.  I watch zero baseball, but did follow the World Series.  Was a lot of fun to watch - nothing beats the beauty of top level sport.

Chelsea will get there.  They've overhauled the entire club, on and off the pitch.  We can see the slow signs of progress - trending in right direction.  Need to balance/tune the squad continuously, which I think they'll continue to do.

Hurrah!

Abramovich is set to buy back the club !

It's true! It's on the YT Chelsea Champions Hub.

Some American voice over says there's a clause in the contract that allows for it and he has been in talks with, er, our Saudi backed owners ? Wtf? Anyway, its got fans excited and everyone is talking about it . There's a couple of very happy fan comments too .

The MOD needs to get his act together and start a new thread on here .

Took me more than a minute to think about congratulating them on here, but I’m glad someone did.

They ARE excellent sports owners. That doesn’t make them incapable of mistakes or anything, but I have full confidence that their goal is to win and to be great.

Mark Walter, as well. He is part of the Chelsea ownership, too and the big boss at the LA Dodgers. Probably not that much into football, that's why we see Boehly supervising this part of the business in Europe.

But the group that owns the Dodgers is the Guggenheim Consortium.

It's completely different to the investment group that owns Chelsea.

I can't see how one relates in anyway to the other, apart from Boehly having a minority share in both ?

Couldn't think of anywhere else to post this. In the article there is a link to the full Fan Advisory Board report.

https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/fan-advisory-board-autumn-update

The latest round-up of news and activity from Chelsea Football Club’s Fan Advisory Board (FAB) includes information from a canvassing of supporters’ opinions, details on the next drop-in session at Stamford Bridge, and the unveiling of a new FAB member…

The FAB, which consists of a range of fan representatives, is consulted by and engages with the club on strategic matters to ensure supporter perspectives are heard at the highest level and fan sentiment is involved in decision making.

Fan views collected

Recently, the FAB commissioned an online survey and there were several thousand respondents from the Chelsea fanbase. Concentrating primarily on the match-going experience for men’s team games, a summary of the findings has been compiled covering the areas of communication, ticketing, the matchday experience, heritage and loyalty, and equality, diversity and inclusion.

FAB to host matchday drop-in

Continuing this season’s innovation for Premier League home matches at Stamford Bridge, fans at next month's fixture against Aston Villa can meet members of the Fan Advisory Board in the Tea Bar pre-match, any time between 11.30am and 1pm on Sunday 1 December.

It is a chance to ask questions, discuss subjects relating to supporting the Blues, and share feedback, as well as finding out more about the remit of the FAB and how it represents the fanbase.

The Tea Bar outside the south end of the stadium, between Frankie’s and the ticket office and opposite the Shed Wall.

Introducing Zane Elmasri

Announced today is a new member of the Fan Advisory Board, filling a vacancy that had arisen.

The nominations committee, consisting of club and independent representatives, identified the suitable person from the large pool generated by the FAB’s open application process and we are pleased to unveil Zane Elmasri who brings the total of representatives back up to seven.

Zane, who is of Portuguese and Lebanese heritage but grew up near Brighton, has supported Chelsea for over 20 years. Beginning with days of fond memories watching games with his dad, he has becoming a very well-travelled fan as days out at the Bridge grew to magical Champions League nights at the San Siro and the unforgettable Club World Cup win in Abu Dhabi.

He is proud and excited about this opportunity to work with the club and is deeply committed to ensuring the voices of Chelsea fans are heard and valued so they can shape the successful future of the club together.

Thanks for posting Boyne! Interesting to see that the majority are happy with respect to ticketing experience when the majority of fans I know are struggling more and more to manage to get tickets, either through supporters clubs or using the VWR, for home and away. Would this questionnaire have been responded more by ST holders? This would explain the discrepancy between the findings and my experience (limited to maybe 50 or so).
