It's funny because many opposition fans seem to be laughing that it's the 'end of Chelsea', but in reality we're worth a hell of a lot of money in both assets and as an established Premier League club. If we were taken over by the government and sold to the highest bidder, it would only be to another extremely rich owner and life would continue as before.

No way can I see Chelsea being completely frozen and destroyed, when there is a lot of value in selling us should the government take control of our club.

As long as we aren't bought by someone like Kroenke or Levy...

There would be a bit of a irony in a capitalist  government seizing control of a private company. Isn’t that what communists do?

Their wouldn't be a private company to seize in the USSR.

In another timeline, Roman is actually flying to Moscow to take out Putin, and Chelsea by association with their owner become the most popular football club in the world.

We beat the Ukraine National Team 4-1 in a Friendship Friendly at Stamford Bridge to celebrate the end of the Russia/Ukraine war. Lukaku is on the bench.

So, are they going after Roman just because he is Russian, or they think he has ties back to Putin or what? I apologize for not really understanding exactly. I thought I read that Abramovich was deemed to not have any ties to the Kremlin or Putin or the Russian government by a judge... but I don't know what all that means or what all that pertained too...

I read a news article about dirty Russian money in circulation in our Banking Industry rumoured to be over £100bn nothing to do with RA just money laundering from illicit sources in Russia.

Surely this should be the focus rather than Labour going after a Russian that was welcomed and invested legally in the UK.

I know very little about Roman A's links or distance from the Putin regime but can't help feeling he's being talked about just because his name is likely to be known to the British public while we'll not recognise the names of others. His dual nationality an Israeli citizen is also a consideration.

Give us a Saudi owner. I couldn't give a f**k. Morality went out the window a LONG time ago in football and politics alike. Nobody seems to care who owns what, or where our products come from in this country, or most countries for that matter, so from a footballing standpoint I would rather see a wealthy arab own us. Get us that title again.

Sanctions are aimed at those with close ties to the despot to put pressure on him directly. targeting criminals would have no affect on the despot.

Also got a Portuguese passport to.

Maybe they could look in to the Russian finances backing the current PM as more of a matter of urgency than a guy who’s ploughed millions in to the countries economy, supported our NHS staff during a pandemic and employs hundreds of citizens.

Nah does not suit the anti Chelsea agenda. Privately they are partying that Russia invaded.

Now if Roman owned a Liverpool or a United nothing would be done.

Imagine the bidding, it would go up in £100m segments and reach £5 billion or more, we would get the best stadium on the planet and Haaland.

No lol the money would go to the UK government.

Could end with glazer like owners, nothing says they would be like cities.

Besides Roman is one of us, would be a real shame if he has to go and if he does imo we will end up far worse off from it.

We wont attract greedy owners because were not big enough and dont raise enough money, we would be purely a vanity project for another oil state.

Hmm guess we will see. If we got our wage bill under control we could be turned in to a money maker
