'It's a crime: UAE tightens entry for Ukrainians as thousands flee war | Reuters If governments are consistent shouldn't they be focusing some attention on billionaires from UAE e.g. City/PSG owners? Yes it could happen, this is only a week old war, things are fluid and rapid at the moment, any countries not aligned with the West are at risk of being sanctioned down the line. Russia and the countries that abstained combined economies only make up less than 20% of the global total, that includes China, China will not cut itself off from the other 80% of global trade. So theoretically Russia will eventually be alone.
March 2, 20224 yr On a serious note, now it seems quite likely Roman is selling, just wanted say a few things. First of all thank you Roman. For being an amazing owner, a passionate Chelsea supporter. One who not only built up the first team but the academy and women's team too, making them the best around. Thank you for the charitable work, the foundations, the help to the NHS. Thank you for taking a then teenager's team from a stable PL team in to one dreams are made of. Thank you for Jose, for Drogba, for Cech, Foe Maka, for Kante, for Silva etc etc Thank you for the amazing memories.

Saudi Arabia and other close by countries have financed the salafist terrorist groups and al-qaeda terrorism, which I believe have killed quite a few in Europe and the US. What have our parliament done about the PL owners linked to those states? Nothing.

March 2, 20224 yr Well maybe Coco ain't a Rock or Cena guy, how about my buddy @Munkworth? Want to see Cena or Rock model our new Chelsea Lion Cubs Baseball shirts? Edited March 2, 20224 yr by axman2526
March 2, 20224 yr Yeah I think its intellectually dishonest to compare the actions of Russia and the UAE. Yes the UAE do a lot f**ked up sh*t but it isnt the same as invading another country.

March 2, 20224 yr Don't want him to be driven out of the club - he deserves to much better, and in the event that he did want sell (rather than be forced to), then he absolutely deserves to be at the Bridge for a massive send off. f**k em all....
March 2, 20224 yr I don't know how close Roman is to Putin but if he close at all to Putin I will be happy he is gone. That said Roman it sounds like spent from his own wealthy to make Chelsea winners. We might not be so lucky with the next owner. Particularly if the owner is American. I say this as an American, but pro sports in America is very profitable for the owners. An American owner is less likely to invest in the club. We'll be lucky of they actually show up for any matches.

March 2, 20224 yr When Roman Abramovich became our owner, we all had a good idea what was happening. We were getting an owner that wanted to turn us into the biggest club in the world, now we are heading into the unknown, we don't know what the intentions of our next owner will be. This is what worries me the most.

I was on the forum when it happened, i wish we still had those posts, but i can remember thinking it wasn't that much of a big deal, the stupid amounts of spending on players had not started by then, looking back that was the point it all changed, but we didnt see it coming at all.
