February 18, 20206 yr Spurs face RB Leipzig tomorrow so given they are without both Son and Kane and playing twice in a week should give us a good chance of beating them. Jut make sure Bats is not on the pitch unless a 90th minute sub.
February 18, 20206 yr Put Alonso in the team. We need goals!!! Won us the pen and had a great game against Spurs last time.
February 18, 20206 yr We have to play the lineup which will try to play against Bayern. We need experience, creativity and good form. I personally would go with that lineup: ------------- Kepa ------------ -- Tomori -- Rudiger -- Azpi -- James -- Kovacic -- Mount -- Alonso --- Willian --- Giroud -- Pedro/CHO Any updates on Pulisic by the way?

Alonso has a good record of scoring against Spurs but he works best as a wing back. Knowing the current injury issues we have in midfield I like the idea of moving to wing backs. I agree with your lineup. The team almost picks itself based on current injuries. Maybe put Maatsen and Anjorin on the bench as I think either could do a job on the left if needed.

If we start with Giroud I would have him on the bench until 65th and if we need more attacking threat bring him on as agree offensively he offers another goal threat.

February 18, 20206 yr Cummings James Rudiger Zouma Tomori Alonso Jorginho Kovacic Mount Giroud Broja Subs: Willy Cab, Azpi, Gilmour, RLC (if not available Barkley), Pulisic (if not available Anjorin), CHO, Abraham (if not available Nunn) Time for something different ?
February 18, 20206 yr Problem is we have zero mental strength right now. Here's the main three things unsettling our performances these days:- going behind- going in front- goalless draw at 30 minsTell me the last time the first third of our game wasn't the most positive one.
February 18, 20206 yr Right now it's important to break through the patterns by removing as much flakiness from the team (bats, Christensen...) as possible. First concern shouldn't be to show beauty but to show presence by putting in a fight. We need a spark and we need it soon and need it to spread quickly. A win sure but most importantly a good (and maybe even ascending?) performance.
February 19, 20206 yr Author Rudiger and Christensen out, Tomori and Zouma in. Jorginho and Kante(inj) out, Mount and Barkley in. Michy and Pedro out, Giroud(or Tammy if fit) and Alonso(or CHO if fit) Our forward options are very limited, we could go 4-1-3-2 if CHO and Pulisic are still out. James Zouma Tomori Azpilicueta Kovacic Willian Barkley Alonso Mount Giroud

February 19, 20206 yr Sometimes it’s the hope that hurts but my grumpy mood has now passed and beautiful optimistic now abounds. We will win this. Sing your hearts out for the lads. UTC.

February 19, 20206 yr Having in mind Spurs have a tough mid-week fixture and should be pretty tired, anything else but 3 pts would be a disaster.

February 19, 20206 yr I've become a pathetic pessimist lately, I still can't gather any confidence for this game despite them missing two of their best players. That front 3 that played against United were disgusting, I have 0 hope in hell that we can manage to score with that attack, because it'll no doubt be playing again on Saturday...
February 19, 20206 yr Might as well try going back to the 3-5-2 another go. Nothing is working at the moment anyway. Kepa Tomori Rudiger Azpilicueta Alonso Kovacic Jorginho Kante (if fit) James Mount Abraham/Giroud
February 19, 20206 yr We need at least one of CHO/Pulisic/Abraham available and RLC needs to take Kantes place is the squad. Even if he comes off the bench for 20 minutes he offers something different to what we have. I think going for the 3 at the back option will be planned for this time around, I’d stick to the 4 but maybe trying sneaking Marcos is at left wing. He hates Tottenham more than Willian.
February 19, 20206 yr Arsenal away?Exactly, so roughly two months ago. It's time for a sign of belief again.
