Remember these scenes from Wembley just weeks after the Hillsborough disaster ? Fans wont listen to 'stay away' advice.

That's 86 Hillsborough was 89.

Liverpool fans were smashing their way into the bridge only weeks after one of the Hillsborough anniversaries. They were even boasting about it on their forums, this after plastering justice for the 96 everywhere. They did the same at one of the Champions league finals (Athens?).

Anyone who thinks they wont have thousands of mental fans at the game where they could win the league is deluded, they will rock up, party, wreck the place.

It wouldn't be their fault, poor little scallys, always victimised.

You can imagine it, the game that cements the title for them, no matter what ground its at, they will be gathering outside, using their herding tactics of the 80s, storming turnstiles because they wasted their giro on glue.

The Premier League should make an announcement that if fans turn up at Anfield to celebrate that Liverpool will have the title taken away. That would be a moral dilemma for the scallies.

Gotta a feeling football will lose so much credibility with every day folk which has been built up over the last 30 years since really Italia 90, us old uns can remember in the 80's football fans were sneered at by the outside world, and to be honest quite rightly so sometimes with some of the shenanigans that went on, but now with this bull sh*t 'Project Restart' and the determination to get games come what may and football fans travelling and turning up at grounds, and they will, is really going to put things back. England and Tottenham defender Danny Rose has criticised the Premier League's plans to restart the season amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Club officials met on Monday to continue talks on "Project Restart", with the English top flight aiming to resume fixtures on 12 June.

As of 11 May, 32,065 people had died in the UK with coronavirus.

"Football shouldn't even be spoken about until the numbers have dropped massively," said Rose, 29.

"People's lives are at risk."

No professional sport, even behind closed doors, will be staged in England until 1 June at the earliest.

Speaking in the House of Commons on Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said being able to hold sporting events without fans could "provide a much-needed boost to national morale".

Rose, who is on loan at Newcastle United from Spurs this season, responded to the news on social media, using expletives and saying he did not care about the nation's morale.

Meanwhile, new data from YouGov showed 73% of 2,098 British adults surveyed would not see the return of football as a boost to their morale, with 19% saying it would.

Fair play to Danny Rose, think he has the mood of the nation and the general football fan

Some of the stuff coming out recently about turning your face away in a tackle and other such stuff is just ludicrous. Who is going to enforce that and what happens if you dont?

We all want to be watching football again, but honestly if it's not possible, it's not possible. Lets not go silly trying to force it.

If the broadcasters are sooking then I have no issue with Leeds and West Brom coming up, 22 teams next season, start it a bit earlier and the TV types get some extra content for their money. 5 teams go down next year to make it interesting.

I suspect the bookmakers cronies of fuelling the desire for the top flight to get back up and running in the middle of a pandemic. Thats why they are crying out to get football back, even behind closed doors and with rule changes mid season. The amount of money gambled weekly on football is astonishing. About £14.5bn was spent in the UK alone on gambling between October 2017 and September 2018. With the high streets closed, the bookies have no slots income either.

Also let's not forget if the league ends up being cancelled and I this continues to run into the beginning of next season and Sky want its telly money back cos nobody is watching it, look then at the appetite of the clubs change. League placing and titles/trophies will pale in comparison to the possible loss of the cold hard cash that keeps must of the top flight clubs going.

TV companies will need to be very careful how they handle this. If the government lift the restrictions on showing football at 3pm on a Saturday what’s to stop clubs selling a season pass to watch all the home games that sky or BT won’t show. if the TV companies decided to try and cancel existing contracts because it’s not want they signed up to ie games behind closed doors the premier league could set up a Netflix for football The idea has been floated before and rejected but in the current climate we have already seen how clubs are willing to put cash before anything else.

Oh dear, when you get to a point where your asking players to turn their heads away in a tackle then surely common sense says the games just should not be played, thats farcical.  Maybe they should play in full fire fighters masks and the ref can have a towel and some hand sanitiser to make sure everyone is safe after every contact.

Something like this but on the mouth instead that won't fall off...? Not like it's gonna help much but it's something at least, if they are forced to play then at least the risk to breathe into someone could be minimized. Ofc nobody cares the league just wants the money from the sponsors I know I know...
