July 11, 20206 yr Two weeks ago, Lampard was a genius for outsmarting Pep. Now we are calling for his head! Who'd want to be a Chelsea manager?

They will have ups and downs and hopefully come through stronger but I do wish Tammy would learn to stay on his feet - he's not gonna score many sitting on his arse! Have a good time in Spain - we were in Spain this time last year - seems a long time ago! Tammy needs some Billy whitehirst inside him ,not a full Billy whitehirst as Tammy would be eating porridge if he did what whitehirst did on the pitch ,Tammy just needs to man up quite a bit

Then as you say the 1-4 2nd killing at SB was onther kick into my nads Yes indeed. Until the 0-6 at City last season I’d almost forgotten what it was like for us to get such a hammering. Then I remembered 0-7 at Forest (I think Durie hit the post after 2 mins and it all went downhill after that) and the 2-6 at home against them in the mid 80s where one of the worst players in the world (Franz Carr) pretty much ended the football career of our left back (John Millar I think). Today was utter crap but I still have a reasonable hope that we’ll limp over the line this season.

July 11, 20206 yr We're in for a battering vs United unless something drastically changes in the space of 7 days This is why I wanted the season to be voided. Had a feeling would lose out on top 4 during lockdown. We can still do it winning the last 3 games if they're not motivated enough for the remaining games then they dont deserve to be here next season. Pedestrian footy today

We just can't compete defending the way we did today

He scored in every 6th match for Chelsea in the PL. That's close to Joellinton, Benteke and McGoldrick numbers. What the hell are you talking about. He has scored 4 goals in our last 6 games and is definitely our inform striker. Tammy hasnt done sh*t since december except score against palace last week..

July 11, 20206 yr Jimmy Greaves said the problem when I played for Chelsea was I'd score five and that lot at the back would let in six that's exactly what we'll be like next season if things don't change drastically.
July 11, 20206 yr Yes it was a performance worthy of a pile of manure, yes the back 4 may as well be Larry, Curly, Moe & Dave. Yes the keeper is too short and puny with no balls to command his box. Yes Jorginho is no good at protecting the back 4. Yes Tammy has gone off the boil and the club would be stoopid to offer him 100K a week let alone anymore. But the way you lot have turned on SFL for losing to a very well drilled outfit who did the almost the same thing to the Spuds 9 days ago is a bit worrying. This man ain’t some high flying continental with an inspiring career and the next best thing in Europe he’s one of our Freaking own ladies and gentlemen. And unlike all the other well paid coaches appointed by RA he’s had little opportunity to bring in any players and was dealt this hand back last July. We all saw the same issues at the back since Contes last season - here are the defenders bought in since Conte - Luiz, Rudy, Alonso, Emerson, Zappacosta to join Zouma & AC & Tomori. We saw the same play patterns with Sarri whose now about to take the scudetto, but he was a crap manager as well per most of you lot who’ve turned on Frank & Jody now. It’s the playing staff, Eden was carrying this team and it to a large extent hid the affects of god awful recruitment, Frank won’t sort it out in 3/4 of his first season without new players, and if you’re one who feels he should maybe support Manchester City who have doped the league and will undoubtedly dope the CAS and be reinstated into the CL come Monday. In reality were all upset because at times this team has overperformed and like all selfish fans we expect that level always with a squad of poorly assembled players of varying skillsets. We would all have taken the Europa League spot last August under the circumstances. I put it to a lot of you - you’re moving the goal posts on Frank and it’s not right. still think it was a very awful result today, Wilder been at it longer and schooled Frank & Jody but it happens in life. I reckon we’ll end up on 64 points, enough for 5th hopefully and it’ll be down to Leicester’s form rather than United. Edited July 11, 20206 yr by General
July 11, 20206 yr No your only 50% right - the players. The other 50% is the coach and his staff cos in this game he had wrong setup at start - they have very effective 352. So going 433 was daft as all the play first half was in front of their 3 cbs - we improved a little at 343 and more varied long balls but when they sit deep have to go down channels and first pass out from the back - we went 8 passes sideways then forward - tedious and stupid We had no bottle and no brains on the pitch - worse performance since 6nil to mancity

I reckon we’ll end up on 64 points, enough for 5th hopefully and it’ll be down to Leicester’s form rather than United. Plenty of fair points in that post General. I for one thought that the Europa League was a reasonable expectation at the start of the season. But today was below even that expectation by some way. One of the worst displays of the Abramovich era. The worst part is that we've watched that game before. I saw somewhere else that we have conceded 3+ goals on 8 ocassions this season while having 65%+ of the ball. I wouldn't say I have turned on Frank, I am just immensely frustrated when he doesn't learn the lessons. That sort of naive management, piss poor mentality and weak defence is the kind we mocked Arsenal for, for a decade. We prided ourselves no matter who the manager was for being hard to beat and giving nothing away easily. It pains me to watch us turn slowly into them these past two seasons. All style and no substance. Sarri and his recruitment disasters started it, hopefully Kepa and Jorginho are moved on in the summer, so Frank has been constrained, but the continual starting of Christensen who just makes the same mistakes is becoming maddening. I am desperately hoping Frank wakes up and turns the ship around, because for me its not about the losing its the way we're losing. Edited July 11, 20206 yr by Spiller86
July 11, 20206 yr I was f**king fuming right after the match, some of our players clearly don’t give a sh*t, I’m saying that I think Lampard ballsed up today with his starting XI. He’ll learn from this for sure but this was costly. I think we’ve f**ked top 4 now. Edited July 11, 20206 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
July 11, 20206 yr Our defence has been poor all the season the difference for me was we had no bite up front. He should have started with Giroud as Tammy's game is not working in the second half of the season, he is too one dimensional and easy to mark.
