Jamie Vardy has been one of the best strikers in the Premier League over the last 5 years, Since the start of the 2015/16 season he's scored 104 goals for Leicester City

I might be wrong but I believe Harry Kane is the only player to have scored more goals than him in that period with 124. Ageuro has scored 102, Firmino 58

I'm not sure about that, what's Morata's goal record in that time?

Arsenal dropping points against Leicester might help us next week.

Notice Willian was not playing for them and Luiz went off after 49 mins, I'm hoping they get a point at Old Trafford.

Re Vardy it is impressive how long he has lasted as one of the top EPL strikers, now 33.

League goals, in the three different leagues and four different teams he's played in during that period is a somewhat respectable 57.

Morata's career average for league goals is a goal every three games, which although isn't terrible when you consider he's played for Juventus, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid you really would expect better.

Why clubs have invested about £200m on him in collective transfer fees is a mystery to me.

Amazing player. Wonder if it's a coincidence that he's still as sharp and quick as he's ever been, but didn't get his opportunity at the top level until he was well into his 20s? Most players, especially strikers, are visibly slowing down at his age.

The hype Arsenal got for beating the worst team in the league by quite a distance and now they look like dog sh*t, you just love to see it.

Might be the advantage of not making it as a youth player - don’t think he signed for Leicester until he was mid 20’s ?

They signed him from Fleetwood, not sure what league that is.

Did I read about him taking a cocktail of snus- it’s like a small tea bag of tobacco that you put under your top lip and next to your gum - red bull and brandy before each game ? Or was that just an urban legend ?

Don't know, Wiki says at one point he was turning up drunk for training.

The owner had a word with him, a night club assault and his daughter was born and one or all of those is supposed out have turned him around.

And has Willian done anything since that game? Remember all the hype about his performance and people saying chelsea made a mistake letting him go...they don’t know Willian as well as we do. Has a good game every now and then...that’s not worthy of three year deal on stupid money.

I've met Jamie Vardy a few times. He has always been a sound bloke and has never at any point lost any of his humility (bear in mind that I worked at King Power during Leicester's title winning season).

His record is especially impressive considering that he made his Premier League debut in late 2014, and spent most of that season playing off Leonardo Ulloa (also a nice bloke), who was Leicester's main man at the time. Bear in mind also that he played for a team who were, during that time, on average mid-table.

He's also made a mockery of all the conditioning/football science thinkers by living off a diet of Red Bull and chewing tobacco and still somehow being an elite condition Premier League footballer. Bring back the era of pisshead players!

Edit:

If you don't think he's a legend, look at this: https://www.transfermarkt.com/jamie-vardy/bilanz/spieler/197838

Ashley Barnes 10 minutes into the game gives Alderweireld probably 5 stitches on the eyebrow.

Of course the commentator says he is not that sort of player, the guy is an absolute thug.

I love Jamie Vardy, probably my favorite player outside of Chelsea in the premier league. i especially love his goals celebration and that he dislike West Brom so much lol.

I wish i had that man confidence.

watching first half Burnley Spurs just shows how difficult it will be for us on Saturday. someone wrote in other thread that we have easy 4 upcoming games, but really, when was Burnely easy fixture for us? they are so compact in their 4 4 2 and dangerous going forward with long balls or counter attack. and they are the nastiest team in the league. we have to travel 6000km and then play at their turf in 3 days period.

if Spurs score 1st they’ll win it but if Burnley scores first there’s no way of 3 points for London c**ts

Burnley play a very narrow 442, you could throw a blanket over them. I reckon we could stretch them from wing to wing better than spuds have so far.

Is it just me who really dislikes Son and his antics?

I’ve never liked him because he’s so f**king phoney behind his child like face and he’s a proper c**t although he’s not that kind of a player
