Colwill looks the part for sure but many coaches say you can't always just throw young players into situations they don't deserve. That means putting Levi to a starter and we leak goals like under Lampard. That is then the experience he has about Prem and his own level in the league. This is why coaches try to protect young players. 

 

Some people really are desperate to find Amy negativity around Chelsea they can, it's so weird. Most other fans would be celebrating having 2 young players in the under 21 winners, looking forward to seeing them play for us next season.

Its not just us, there’s a reason I avoid the news as much as possible. The world feeds on negativity. 

As for Levi, my take is simply that he had a great year at Brighton, felt trusted and as such would like to continue with them. If he gets a real opportunity with us and takes it, Brighton will become a pleasant memory and nothing more. If not, he’ll probably be sold next summer

Good shout, Brighton are a well run club and have a charismatic manager so its no surprise a young player has become enamoured with them. As you say he gets game time here and Pochettino's backing and there's every chance his emotional attachment to Brighton is long forgotten.

This could be the first test of the fans relationship with Pochettino. He has openly stated he wants players here that want to be here. We have all applauded this position, deeming it an oblique reference to Lukaku's attitude.  What happens now if it becomes apparent that Colwill wants away. If Arsenal are quoting £50mfor Balogun on the back of a loan season in Ligue 1 what is Colwill worth now.

I don't want him sold but I have always had a simple requirement.  The player's that wear the Chelsea want to be here and give 100% at all times. If he really doesn’t want to be here Pochettino will have no option but to move him on and we'll have to trust I him.

Let's hope it's all a misreading of the situation and he develops under the guidance of Pochettino and reaches his potential here.

But if a saliba situation.. he wanted out till 2022 before now signing a new contract .. I would just ignore this get him playing a few matches be a part of the group he will be fine.. I just hope we get the ppl we are targeting and  this strange transfer window closed.

I didn't realise there were so many body language experts out there, great that they have spent so long studying other interviews and similar situations involving Colwill so they can do a full competent comparison...man these youtubers are amazing....

If Colwill doesn't want to be here, that's fine, just sell him off quickly and get Gvardiol before City wrap that up. Doubt the timeline will align but I would take Gvardiol over Colwill anyday.

Ive not seen anything in Fofana while at CFC or at Leicester. I'd have Chalobah ahead of him too... Make or break season for all of them imo. Actually secretly looking forward to it this year.

Thanks for providing this. Thought Younes was bang on and echoes a lot of what I have been typing myself. It doesn't mean I don't want the lad, far from it, but it's all been far too busy.

I remember having similar levels of excitement about Tomori (and I do still like the lad) and then after that brilliant debut, a few mistakes started creeping in and then opinion changed, somewhat hastily in my opinion actually.

This social media, faceless, nameless, twitter and other apps, not only are bad in over hyping these kids, it goes horribly the other way as well. It only needs a couple of high profile errors,then I could see some tw@t pundit highlighting that for all his qualities the fact still remains that he has reached two major finals, scored an own goal in one and gave a penalty away in the other. And there's a bandwagon immediately for the naysayers to jump on.

Would much rather he kept his head down, came in, committed himself and nailed it next season. As good as de Zerbi might be, as great as last season was, would I want to learn how to be a real professional in my trade by working with Thiago Silva or Lewis Dunk. Errm.

Him being a Chelsea boy doesn't really seem to mean much these days. 

He’s a good prospect hopefully he’s given a chance but the media and fans needs to clam down with the hype.

He gave away the penalty which came about because of a silly challenge. He still has loads to learn

i am surprised how after a year suddenly brighton are more attractive than us .. l just think its fashionable right now to stick it to us and LC is just playing hardball with us. also with Macallister gone Caicedo coming to us .. will they even have a team to go back too.

It would be great to keep Levi Colwill. He still has a long way to go.  On the right side it is Silva or Fofana, AND on the left side it is Badiashile or Colwill. Thiago is the only grown up you can rely on, the others are talented kids with a lot of 'potential'.  Great to keep Levi, but if he wants to leave us for Liverpool can we stop him?  Apparently it is Liverpool and not Brighton that are turning his head.
