Having to change the way you essentially function as an athlete almost always spells the end. Fortunate for Carney he is still very young, but I am not sure if we will see the same player.

Never come across this before in any sport or walk of life (pardon the cheap pun LOL)

Never come across this before in any sport or walk of life (pardon the cheap pun LOL) RLC had to change the way he ran. I believe CHO did too. Most notorious was Hazard after his ankle break. He never adapted to the changes and it ultimately led him not enjoying football anymore, hence the retirement.

Just imagine at some point in 2025-26 season he finally makes an appearance and starts sprinting sideways. That should distract the opposition enough for us to sneak a goal or two. From now on, every one at Cobham should run Chukwuemeka style and we're finally free from long term injuries. At least this club is good for comedic value nowadays.

Lavia was a particularly dodgy signing given that he had barely half a season with Southampton and was out injured at the time. Especially considering the fee. Should be investigated for money laundering.
January 12, 20242 yr Giving that Todd buying clubs in Europe, US, Golden Globes in less that 2 years, its really seems like money laundering
January 12, 20242 yr I’d like to see some other sources talk about his injury and recovery. Simply saying it was worse than expected and now he has to “change his running style” is fairly useless. What was his injury precisely ? How do yo change your running style?? Will we be employing John Cleese on running and walking styles for players!

My take anyways.

January 12, 20242 yr Excellent news. I think caìrneys key role for us connecting midfield and attack at the start of the season has been somewhat overlooked because hes been out so long. If he can stay fit for the rest of the season i think he can be a huge player in helping turn things around.

Usually on target too (an admittedly very small sample of shots at this stage) I remember he said he'd set himself goal and assist targets at the start of the season. Would love to know what those targets were ... I bet he fancied 12-15 goals.
